Found a very neat 2008 WRX hatch, leather, sunroof, dead stock, etc. Showed her and she loves it.

Can I get rid of the GT?

I bought one of these before the Lib and traded it in on the Lib.

Dont do it. They are boring as bat shit!! Handle 'ok' but very boatish.

And are very girlie....

## edit.... And cheap shit plastic interior and has framed windows!!

The Liberty feel MUCH better built.!!
Not a Subaru...... Something MUCH better

I recon you need to post some pics/link so we can see what to compare to...

And I doubt any stock scoobaru (and you might agree) will drive as nicely as the twin-scroll GT around town. But maybe with some mods.... :P
Running no. of weeks without breaking something in the lib: 0
No. of things still to fix in in the lib: 97

I would argue that the Lib GT is pretty boatish without mods and has a pretty average, plastic-y interior.
I would also say that the WRX would be improved with mods and do you think Mark will leave it un-modded?

It is also a car for his wife to drive and it's stated purpose is to be more girlie.

No the cheapness and blandness of the impreza interior is bad..... feels like an old corolla but new . Really dated and feels like it wouldn't last 10yrs

And yeh the stock lib is a bit boatish, but no where near as bad as the wrx. But that's nothing a set of coils wouldn't fix!!

I find the lib feels more solid in every way, the rex is cheap and supposedly fast.

I believe its a big step backwards in the interior department as they are pretty plain. My brother in law has one. Only looking at one that has leather and sunroof to help that cause.

Handling isnt a thing I am concerned with. Its for the wife and will spend 95% of its time driving around town.

Purposely looking at the 07-09 as they do have a very girlie shape.

The 09 has the 195 kw motor. The earlier has the 169kw motor......!!

My wife loved my WRX... for the above reason... it was girlie.

They do feel smaller and more nimble then the GT. But the GT wins in every other area.

I know you're looking at that shape because it's girly, but the facelift wide body WRX's are leaps ahead of the prefacelift (07-09ish?)

My mum drives a WRX sedan and loves it, she wanted the 07-09 because it didn't look as loud but to drive they were leagues behind the 10+.
Ours is a 2012, interior quality is average. We have the premium pack with the nav, leather and roof and it passes by as a nice car but not luxurious.
Dad even mentioned that my car felt better built the other day with the softer plastics etc.
The other thing we can fault ours for is rattles. It has 12,000km now and has two rattles, loud ones! Warranty will fix them but it doesn't look good for the future.
You'll definitely need to do a brake conversion (that's a given obviously), that's the only weak spot with them. The brakes aren't fantastic.

Apart from that, to drive the 10+ is a weapon with 195kw and 5.3 seconds to 100. Handles great (the 10+ have a wider track and different suspension with the wide body too I think) and the wide body looks tough, but still covert enough for my (I didn't say this) middle-aged mother to drive.

From what we were told and experienced test driving, the 07-09 was a bit of a dudd with the WRX's. It felt sluggish and boatish.

Its not about power or handling for her. She likes the shape and thinks the 10+ cars are too boy racer / bulky looking. She doesnt want a Gen4 sedan either.

2010+ low kay, premium packs are more $$ and I want minimum c/o from the GT anyway.
