The tomei's look shit (surprise surprise)

32 kgf converts to 70 lbs using google

And 85kgf under lift (I'm assuming this means at 500 thou) converts to 187lbs

You need to read up about what these figures mean Dan

In a nutshell, when you have a higher lift cam, you need the valve to snap shut with enough pressure and then retain the seating with enough seating spring pressure to stop you from getting valve float.

You need good springs

This doesn't help you at all, but it is a case of doing it once, doing it right. I think the springs were like 900 bucks or something. I stopped looking at receipts for mods years ago. It is all expensive. Also Boostadict, I can see your build is heading down the slippery slope man.

+1
Your heading builder needs to be involved.... don't risk it.

The builder wants me to keep the revs down and i didnt actually give him the specs of the cams other than it was a 264/260 and he said that should be fine as the stock springs will be fine with a normal rev limit.

So i have spoken to deschele about it ( on facebook )and he recommends super tech springs.

So ive asked him to price me a set.!!

Fair enough

Leigh sure knows his stuff. Super tech are good. But price doesn't always equal quality

A fool and his money are easily parted though ;)

Why don't u get deschele to build your heads ? If you want a cheap ass job and use the stock springs then I'd say your asking fir trouble and probably best not putting the cams in! Bigger Cams are best used in higher revving cars... Doesn't putting them in with a low rev limit kinda defeat the purpose of having them and building this engine up ?

I got duel cosworth ones

Supertechs don't match the cams, seen bent valves and damaged seats from float on Kelfords that did not have right springs

After much thinking and googling and talking I have decided to stick to what WILL work.

So Im going to source some of the Kelfords Double valve springs and Titanium retainers. I know they will work and work fecking well.

I have this recurring theme in my head......... Im going to do this ONCE and PROPERLY.

I can used BC valves, Performace Springs, Tomei etc etc.

But I believe that the company that makes the cams knows what springs to use with their cams.

Thanks everybody for your help and responses.
