B4 MY03 Stock Brake -> UPGRADE

Hi again,

Ive been off the air for some time now, as has the B4.. I went to turn the beast over the other day, and yep the battery was flat, thats how long!..... Too long!

Anyhow, Im back now, and have had the pleasure to drive the old beast!
I did a bit of a tour around the windy curves of Mount Macedon this weekend, and as expected form previous experience, we were met by the dreaded 'break fade'.....

Any suggestions on upgrades???
Cheaper $$$ the better...

We are currently running %100 stock brake/wheels...

Pads
Discs
Lines
Calipers

Would love any suggestions... Price + Performance

decent pads, i run Dixels and have no fade issues - $400ish

Do you think this will rid my major fade around the hills?
Am I wrong in thinking that slotted discs + accessories will get more bang for buck?
Your option of new Dixel pads sounds wise and very cost effective, but seems too easy! Do you think this is all I need... Im experiencing pretty big fade if pushing it around the mountain roads

If it's just fade you want to kill, just pads are all you really need.

Brake lines & brake stopper are not really good value for money mods in my opinion, and they aren't fade related.

If you are going more hardcore for your pads, new discs might also be good as you can get stronger discs to better stand up to the different pad materials and higher temperatures.

I also don't think slotted rotors are necessary and would not pay a premium for them if there was an equivalent non-slotted version (unless you want them for looks).

as rooby said, slotted rotors won't help. theyre more for track days and heavy use.

however i disagree with his opinion on the brake stopper and lines. this is a regularly debated topic topic with mixed opinions.
i personally find the combo of the two really help with confidence under brake. and for only $200+ id say its good value.

there is of course the option of snagging some second hand Brembos
