Rolling Guards (HELP)

Postby SeanSpencer » Fri Oct 11, 2013 6:27 pm

Hey guys i am thinking of having to need to roll my guards as my liberty is running Black GT Gen 5 wheels,
225/40/18

and im getting some lovell springs for my car which will lower it roughly 2inches, and im worrying about scrubbing or such.

do you think that it is needed for my guards to be rolled?

does anyone on the forum roll guards, or do you guys know of anyone who does, im located on the central coast.

many thanks.

Guard rolling won't be necessary. Might need to dial in more positive camber in the front

Definately need to roll the rear guards if you get berts springs. But may as well do all 4 while your there.

With a 2" drop, the rears will be running around -2.5 degrees camber. Check out Boostaddicts build thread.... same wheel specs, similar drop, no guard rolling required.

Dans car and Bert's car aren't the same drop. Bert's car was lower.

We will see how it goes once berts springs are installed,

if all goes wrong i have a set of 17inch advanti racing rims for backups. which will put me in the clear untill i get my guards rolled

The Advanti wheels have more chance of scrubbing than the 18's........

You will NOT need guard rolling with stock wheels.... They will be no closer to the guard, and only 7mm more rolling diameter wise. Piss easy fit.

The lower you go, the more negative camber there is anyway meaning even less chance of scrubbing...
