I just ordered a new rear sway and will be getting a new front sway in the next few days.. cant wait to see how they feel!

On stock shocks and springs they are great. Its the mix between comfort and handling without going to the expense of coil overs. Combined with decent tires, turn into corners and out of corners is a lot more predictable and precise. There is still a slight hint of understeer if you REALLY push it, but I put that down to stock shocks and springs and ride height. If I were to update them, lower it be an inch or so this would be close to eliminating that. I don't thrash the car into every corner but I dont like it if I can give it some pepper in and out of corners either. This is a good compromise without sacrificing the stock ride quality I love.

As far as your car is concerned I think your gonna love it. I do recommend highly that you get upgraded rear sway HD mounts. I bought mine from G88 and paid about $100 delivered. Made the rear feel solid as a rock and I didnt fear I was going to break anything in the back end of the car.

Just out of interest did you try it without the HD mounts?
Ive been told by a couple of mechanics that the stock ones are more than fine and i shouldnt upgrade them.

No I didn't try them without, I didn't want to risk it. But what I have read on this forum and speaking with other Lib members, you CAN run without them for a while, but eventually they will die and I heard upgrading the mounts in conjunction with the rear sway is a great way to maximize the effect of the bar.

In saying this, with the new HD Whiteline front sway end links fitted, the car feels better again in turning. I feel less understeer, the car seems to have more grip in corners and I can attack corners I often travel with more speed. Don't get me wrong, the sways still made a huge difference from stock, but having these new end links fitted I feel like they are complimenting the front sway a lot more now. It's like the end links have provided more lateral stiffness, allowing the car to have more grip in corners and giving me more turn in rather than having to rely just on the tires to help turn the car.

I saw the stock end links and they looked piss weak, plus the knuckles on them we had it. The new links were meaty, thick and had the usual yellow thicker urethane bushes fitted. They look way more solid.
Cheers

As i said ive ordered my sways, and have also ordered new lower control arm bushings, so im looking forward to feeling the difference.
Ill have a look at my end links when i install the front sway and see how they look.. if theyre like yours and are stuffed, ill get them replaced.

Sounds good Adam. I think you'll love the feel of the sways from stock. Just gives you a feeling of security around a corner at speed. Its a confident feeling. The end links just concrete that feeling in. Hard to describe unless you run with the sways with stock links for a while and then upgrade them later.

Keen to hear your thoughts on your car. If you are attune with the way your car feels and handles you should notice any small differences the car gets with something as minor as sway end links. Doesn't sound like much and its often confused with placebo, but for me, I noticed a difference going from stock links to WL ones and I just feel more confident that the car will handle lateral speed better. But that is just me.

Ok small update.

Bit the bullet and ordered a s/s cat back exhaust from ultrex today. Will run the mufflers as they are for a while then will either get then modified to suit twin tips or change them for quad tip mufflers.

When matt comes back to s.a. I'll get a dump fitted and then a retune. Also looking to pick up a front lip spoiler too.

Will post pics once it's done.
Cheers

Cheers mate I hope so. Hoping for a bit more mid range and done top end post tune with this system. I think the biggest improvement will be with the dump. But the whole tbe will be a combined improvement.

The lip spoiler also will toughen the appearance too. I might remove the mudflaps while I'm at it. Considering lowered eibach Springs too.

Not only will it be much faster, but the exhaust note makes driving more enjoyable too. You wont regret any of it!!
Dont lower your car until youve tested out the lip first... you want to make sure you can get in and out of all the local driveways

Thanks adam. This good to know from someone who has a similar set up. Did you notice the note change when you fitted the dump after the cbe?

I got the dump installed at the same time as the cbe so I wouldn't know, but I wouldn't think it would be much different.
