Some initial impressions.

OK more seat time = more appreciation for how much trouble I can now get in.

The not so good:
Solid pitch mount increases noise in car.
Built motor with forged pistons = more noise than stock.

The good:
Auto changes are soft when using light throttle and solid when booting, loving the built auto.
In guard intake & Dom 1.5xtr = cool sounds!
Car can sit at 2900/3000 with mild boost and it boots along nicely :D

Car does not have the low down torque that a car with a VF38 has but the mid range and top end more than compensate.

Car is more maneuverable in traffic.

Yep new knock sensor and I managed to foul the plugs which gave me a little heart moment.

I already know the answer generally on your dyno - just stirring you up!

Hopefully the change to 1 heat range colder plugs and new knock sensor will sort out the last nigly issues and I can finish this round off with the intake and surge tank and re tune (and then have even moar powa ha ha)

As promised:

Image

Yes could have gone for more power but brief was a tune that I could beat on as much as I wanted with NO KNOCK.
Mission accomplished as after Sunday cruise (and I use the term loosely) IAM at 1.00 and no error codes logged.

Also Dynamatted under rear seat and hatch area over last 2 nights. What a crap job that is!

Due to differing flow the 2.5inch rear section resonates at 2500rpm and under with no boost n low load.

Dont want to change exhaust, love angry sound, want cake and eat it too. Hope I can reduce sound enough in cabin.

Will know in the morning I guess.

I can report that my bum dyno run in this car was excellent. Packs a lot of heat especially for an auto.

Also when watching it in rear view mirror when he gives it the boot looks like a frog leaping it's nuts!!
Now driving the mighty 86 :)
