How are you going with yours at the moment.??

Had it logged on Monday night, Matt has said that it doesn't look like any water/fluid passing through exhaust, so my hopes are high that it is not head gasket.

The next suggestion was a 'Litmus paper test' which 'might help diagnose HG better than a hot test.' - effed if I know what that is. ha ha. I will be back in contact with mechanic today or tomorrow, but waiting for next pay day to give the old CC a rest

Jakeeey, that paper tests for hydrocarbons in the coolant, if it detects it then it indicates a head gasket leak.

Correct. :)

However, it is my thought that there is a possible radiator blockage(or heater core blockage) since a pressure test applies pressure to a sealed system, it can pass a pressure test since the blockage is having pressure applied on both sides of the blockage etc. If you filled up a car tyre inner tube, your pessure would be equal unless you had a leak but anything inside the inner tube is having pressure applied on all sides :)

Just want to say the crew at NRG Auto have been great, provided me with plenty of info and had no issues discussing my stupid questions. I've had my car back for a few weeks now and It's running great once again, just took it back today for checkup seem's to be all good.
