I have thought about this and i cant see me getting a second chance at doing it..... wife just doesnt understand it. So if i cant get sleeving done then that just means then that my max output will only sit around that 280-290kw atw to keep it all happy.

I have spoken to NRG and he said around $1500-1700 for the R & R

I then spoke to the Machine guy . He said budget $2k, max 2.5K. Service heads, deck and hone and boring of the block.

Then parts on top.

So if i keep the parts around $2-$2.5k then that will be all good for $6-$6.5k.

So yes Celtic and Tuspeed (<-there's $1500 in cams and springs) are FAR beyond the $2.5K, so im having a rethink on parts and have a couple of quotes coming back to me.

Should probably take into account little extras that Nick might find along the way, there was a few extras I ended up getting. Good example was the radiator.

6-10k? I'd say double that. My bill was around the 10k mark..and all I did was a medium sized turbo conversion

Yeh man. Block is arriving Thursday / Friday . Will be inspected and measured etc etc.

I have a list already of the required stuff. Just gotta wait till the bores are measured for piston size.

Then I will order !! Looks like a 2 weekish wait for that to arrive then its off the machine shop and then back to the builder to be all put together .!!!

Then I take my car in and do a swap of blocks, change over my accessories and away she goes!!!!

Obviously tune will be checked and modded where needed. But I will then go bed it all in and when that is done then I will take it back for a final tune and enjoy.!!

Oh another question to every body in the know.

Got told that if i keep the heads stock that it will make the motor a grenade if and when I want 300kw atw or close enough on pump in the future. As 300 is just too much for the stock heads and I will have to run a large turbo at 30psi to get it and it will just be pushed to the max !!

I wold have to port n polish, cams, valves etc etc to make it at say 23psi and it will be happy no dramas!! But that's like another 5 k for that shit...!!!

True or not true??
