Considering I have not been proven wrong I dont see why I would need to accept im wrong, the fact is this forum seems to be full of keyboard warriors who think they can tell people whats right and wrong, and saying they have tuned cars in the past entitles their input to be 100% correct, trying to change the subject doesn't prove your right. I did my testing, I found my opinion to be correct. You need times to prove me wrong not spread sheets indicating power figures and engine speeds. I understand why you are persistent, you've put your tuning reputation on the line since you sell Kido tunes. Though I am not questioning your capabilities as a tuner, I'm sure you have made mistakes in your career as we all do. I stand by my opinion, People commenting in between should go back and read my first comment. I was asking people's opinion for the learning experience as well, but it was the people to turned it into a pathetic irrelevant debate.

I worked for ACP Magazines for a year, you know the guys who produced Speed, Motor, Wheels... yes, Top Secret enough to even put in their own TV commercials...

Your data is flawed since you never bothered to test a LGT in back to back testing. Is it not weird, that 5 years ago Motor and Wheels did all the testing on the H6 Vs LGT when the cars were new. LGT's after 5 years are suffering from the ever common boost leak from the TMIC to Throttle gasket.

SIMBAT wrote:Sorry to confuse you, the hillclimb was at haunted hills(i'm sure you know where that is) and that was when i had my RX pictured im my avatar. that had coilovers, swaybars, and brake upgrades.

And the Lang Lang event was with the GTS, and that was when i just got my 3.0R its was 100% stock(still is stock i bolt on and off the mufflers when i please). We also has HSV club Photographers at our event but they had to register and sign a confidentiality form. Lang Lang is considered top secret stop bullshitting they even use it in there commercials... and when i was there the manager was telling stories for photographers in camo gear hiding in the bushes.

Thanks for finally giving relevant input to the topic, If thats your "experienced" opinion i will deduce the GT i drove may have had problems since it felt so much slower then my car. i will look t test drive another one day.

You don't say  you should change your avatars signature to "stating the obvious"

As you very clearly stated in your recent rant to Kido... the thread is about which is faster. The GT is faster no question no matter which angle you look at it. Simple. Youre only making yourself look stupid by saying its not and that numbers mean nothing unless on the drag strip. On a drag strip you would lose against a GT... not sure what your angle was there?????

You brought up motorkana.. you brought up the fact your 3.0 can beat a wrx (if there was an emoticon for having a tug, id insert it here), which if you were as smart as you claim to be youd know a wrx is faster than a liberty. So by me "stating the obvious" i was trying to bring you back down out of the clouds.

Lets end the thread here with a really "obvious statement". Your 3.0r is slower than a GT, and will always be slower than a GT that has had the same amount of money spent on it. Over!

In the 'past'?? How about last week when I was in both an LGT and a H6 locally? We log performance benchmarks in the RomRaider software to show how much gain can be made.

Tell you what, there is quite a few stock H6's with just a tune floating around... go for a drive in one and tell me how a 110Kw H6 with diff back exhaust and intake fairs against a H6 with just a tune. Most stock H6's are pulling 20 degrees of timing on our 98 from pinging their brains off and that means your losing torque.

so after 5 pages of bullsh!t have you driven a second GT yet?

Or do you now drive a knuckle dragging piece of garbage HSV :assassin:

your on road testing means sh!t all.
proper logs up the same piece of road doing roll-on tests from 40km/h the go WOT.
times are easy to find that way, when you see the pedal hit 100% note the time stamp, and pick your finish point from the road-speed or rpm column and not that time stamp.
0>100km/h (or whatever) are unreliable
in-gear acceleration is easier to measure and a much more true representation of a car's power on the road

i'm not saying your results are wrong, just the testing method is poor

Anyone that has used a Tactrix would know that the stock ECU refresh rate is 0.4 seconds so this WiFi dongle has a 0.4 second margin of error

So were changing the topic again? :bad:
... Firstly is Lang Lang open to the public? No it is considered Holdens confidential proving grounds, yes they have approved events there, that doesn't mean Holden don't consider it confidential anymore.

Next everyone should know that no 2 cars are the same, the Wrx I beat may have an undetected problem, or my 3.0R is just a really good one? Fact is I won.

Stating a LGT will beat a 3.0R I'n any case is quite a stupid comment... Obviously if you had an unlimited budget to modify both cars to the extent if their power capabilitys the 3.0R would achieve a higher power output obviously becoming turbo in the process.

Finally if you performed a DP modification diff back exhaust and tune to a LGT. You could buy coilovers, rear sway bar and a set of advan ad08 for a 3.0R with the same amount of money. I guarantee the GT would win
In a drag race ( durr) but the 3.0R would get a quicker time on any race track.

not gonna happen.

Ever driven Bathurst? or any track with big changes in elevation (christ, even Baskerville here in Hobart)
the extra torque on tap over a wider rev range from the 2.5 GT will own when dragging a fat 1500kg car up a hill.

I love my 3RB, but the above statement is a load of sh!te.
Sorry.
