Is the seat travel on the facelift 4gens the same as the PFL?

If I was to get the seat rail extended or modified what sort of $$$ would I be looking at and does it need to be engineered?

I wouldn't buy a gen 5 if it was the last car (or should I say truck) left in the universe.

New Liberty's must be smaller...

Yes, and Subaru seriously need to fire all their designers immediately and poach a few from Audi.

Just give it some time to get used to it, to find the right seating position, I reckon.
A smaller steering wheel helps too.
Swapping out the seat for a thinner lower race style seat, eg a recaro or bride might reap rewards as well.

I'm 6.4, average legs, drive with my knee about 2" from the dash or less with passengers in the rear.
It took a while but I'm very committed to the car :)

Im over 6'2" and had a Gemini for years.

I modded the rails where they meet the seat base to increase the legroom. Surely this could be be done to the Suby?

I find my GenIV has JUST enough room.

Why?

I don't care for them. Too bad if they've got long legs and have to sit behind me. They can suffer! My comfort is important, not theirs.

im 6.3 and im just ok in there i find the steering wheel all the way up and a bit closer to me makes it perfect, its better for your arms to be a bit bent while holding the wheel anyway, look at a racing drivers driving position... plus it gives you more control when you have to u turns in a hurry.

BTW the gen 4's have shithouse rear leg room, in my gen 3 rx i could have the front seat all the way back and i would still have enough room for me to sit in the back comfortably, but in my gen 4 i can't fit unless my legs are wide open, then it doesn't take long for the butt cramps to start. my next car will be a 2012 wrx sti hatch and it has more room then my lib in the back.

Such an old topic...

Just get a bride seat on a low rail and be done with it.
