Yea.. hopefully pick up the spec b grille from bonksi within the next week or so.. after that would love a rear spoiler, but i doubt that'll happen, so i will look to get a rear sway bar, lower the car a bit, and maybe just one day in the future i'd be lucky enough to pick up some of those sweet charcoal sti rims

Oh!! And not to forget the v-tune once i feel energetic enough to drive all the damn way down south!!

i know what you mean...I've been thinking about the V-tune as well, but just couldn't bring myself around to actually driving all the way down there to get it done....hmmm maybe one day

Would you mind turning your head just slightly? I wanna smack it a la Jethro Gibbs.

Why would you have to drive all the way to Mellie just for a V tune? A lot of sensible options available here in Syd. Not to mention if you were to do any additional mods in the future, you gonna drive all the way down there again for a re-tune?

Lots of Forester owners say Pulse is good in Sydney.

Hey Jim,

Like I said... I don't think I could actually bothered driving all the way down south to perform a V-tune.

But what are the similar options that you are referring to in syd? I thought, surely there must be someone up here who could perform a similar tune. But I was under the impression that it could only be performed by Vin at STI Docklands? Since it was his research & development for the 3.0RB's. And secondly, if I could even find someone to perform a similar tune, what would they charge for this compared to the V-tune? (which is approx $250-300). I'd love to find out more...

Heh-heh. Phil, I'd smack you anyway because you promised me a sound/video clip of the STi mufflers on your car weeks ago. Still waiting .... :big_boss:

Is the V-Tune still $200 - $300 for the Liberty? I heard that was the WRX price, and that the Liberty's were at the $700 - $800 mark because it's more difficult.

But as far as I know, Vin does an OpenECU tune (it's only called V-Tune because Vin does it so the V stands for Vin). If you're looking for that here in Syd, there are tuners like Paul at Pulse Racing in Menai who has done it on Trieu and SkoobyGT's cars. They are very happy with the results.

Plus it should be cheaper than getting ECUTek or a Haltech installed because it doesn't use any third party software or hardware (referencing posts at http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?p=33235).
