H6 Anti stall feature

The pre face lift H6 manual Liberties have an anti stall feature. I modified mine.

Used it the other day like a launch control and worked pretty darn good. The guy next to me freaked out when he heard the engine bouncing at 5k :lol:

so you half stall it, then this kicks in and instead of going to 1500rpm it hits 5k?

Its a table in OE manual rom (rev limit b). Subaru have it set at 5000/4900 from factory. I changed it to 5000/4980..
Did this a few years back but only video'd today.

Jay, when stationary, put the clutch in and rev the engine. The stock tune from subaru, anti stall feature won't let the engine rev past 5000. I just closed the gap from 5000/4900 to 5000/4980 so it sounds better and easier to drop the clutch and go.

Had no idea this happened. Im sure mine will rev past 5k when stationary, i've launched higher than that before... Will experiment!

Yes, it is possible in the 2.5T

Also, the logic is in the 07-09 H6 ECU's too

Not holding it on the 'normal' rev limiter. The Rev limiter drops to say 4000rpm, cuts spark, engine revs drop while fuel is dumped into the exhaust, then once the spark starts again at the resume point, it ignites fuel in the cylinder which then ignites fuel in the exhaust and spools the turbo plus shoots flames etc
