Twinscroll Flex-Fuel Forester!!

Postby Sgottlieb » Fri Aug 30, 2013 10:15 pm

Hey guys I know its not a lib but its at least the same family.
Been on this site for a while now and have met a few of you at a few meets and have really enjoyed how welcoming and friendly everyone has been.

Ive owned the car for 6 years now and have done quite a few things.
The latest things though are a full twin scroll conversion vf37 and a full flex fuel setup consisting of a Continental GM flex fuel sensor, Link G4 ECU and a good tuner.
Originally made 191kw atw on the old 98 ron tune, then made 209kw on the new injectors (1200cc) 98ron then made a final result of 230kw on e85 at all four paws. The torque is crazy flat I was very suprised.
Big thanks goes out to Cihan Aday from Etuner.com.au

Enough chat a few photos of it.

Nicely done Simon!

Soooooooo! Update time.
Image

Brembos purchased off trade me for an absolute bargain! Brand new pads. Just need to paint one that was starting to be prepped.
And info on the turbo.
I've been looking for a replacement but didn't want to go anything to crazy as I didn't want to do my motor again. So I finally found the holy grail (for me). A VF42 this is the turbo that comes on a S204 sti a titanium blade roller bearing twin scroll. Really pumped to get this on and see what she makes on e85!! The condion seems to be quite good no play so we will just have to wait and see.

Nice choice. Vf42 will pack a nice punch with a good tune on e85 and I guestimate 250-260 awkw peak power

If you ever want to sell the vf37 let me know
