2001 H6 Outback fuel filter and front bumper removal.

Hi all,

I've done a search and found nothing, but where is the fuel filter on my 2001 H6 Outback? It's not in the engine bay, like the factory handbook says (but the book also shows an American LHD engine bay). The H6 has just clicked over 150 000k's, I'm running E10 95 from United and don't know if it's the original fuel filter, so I'm slowly going through everything and replacing stuff as I can afford to.

Also, how do you remove the front bumper bar? I want to add some bracing behind the licence plate mounting point, so when I mount some spot lights, they are mounted nice and solid.
