Hey nice ducts, saw Prova ones ages ago and missed them. They should be handy for track days and cutting the lawn on weekends

These are a little more durable than the sweet carbon Provas.

I just installed a nice GFB GT Hybrid BOV... Full plumback mode for now.
Definitely just about the next best thing to the awesome Prova BOV by Forge...

A little update: BBB Mystery muffs are back on my VIP GT-BBB.
I'm planning to get the alignment perfected at the shop that did the work AES in Alphington, ask for Harry, or at a mates shop AUS4WD, ask for Sandy, I'm tempted to go the latter just for the sick chrome sticker

The current config is Phat 3" dump with 5" race cat and flex join > Barney Hallam Performance Exhaust custom mild steel 3" to 2.5" Y mid w/ oval muffler and front flex join > modified WRX STi sedan quads.

It's really quiet so far, especially in conjunction with the 5 Resomatted doors: the ultimate stealth back IMHO.
The Resomat is at 70% coverage on inner and 90% outer skins in the front and rear doors and 50% coverage on inner and 25% outer skins of the tailgate (any more and it would be too heavy).
I'm probably at the point of diminishing returns with sound deadening but am considering some mass loaded vinyl in the cargo and under rear seat areas and possibly the firewall/front fender area.
Tyre and wind noise is dominant... Can just hear it accelerating, barely anything on the over run.
I reset the ECU and went for a quick drive, nothing beyond a few very light pulls in S mode.
The difference in performance is negligible, and the Lib does its thing without fuss.
Next up is trying out my stock mid pipe which was modded with a 3" inlet, planning to get the resonator section deleted.

Since I'm currently on the stock turbo and with mostly stock induction, I'm purely playing with sound output, and the effects that has on the driving experience.
I'll be sure to summarize my findings in an excel matrix.

Overun is when you've released the accelerator and are ridin the engine under vacuum. Its the next best thing to WOT imho, especially on an NA car

I'm dismayed by attitudes displayed by some members here, those that think modding their stock Libs willy nilly for max power is a never ending chalice of awesomeness sprinkled with the magic fairy dust of tuning pixie magic.

The same people who have a suspicion of technical language, let alone an understanding of the meaning of the words, principles and approaches. It's nothing they could hope or bother to comprehend, a black art best left to the secretive sects of tuners and mechanics. The "I don't know I just pay for it" attitude.

Some members simply lack the fundamental understanding to be involved at this level, and are clearly not willing to get up to speed.

I sure don't know it all but I'm going to give learning most of it a good go with plenty of time and patience on my side to do it right - when I'm ready.

Whilst I completely agree that people should have an understanding of whats being done to their cars, and how or why it works. I would much rather let an experienced tuner tune my car than tinker with it myself, no matter how much self educating id done. As many members have discovered, tuners aint tuners. This just proves that its not a simple task and theres a lot more to it than following basic rules or patterns.
Im with you on the logging and keeping an eye on your car, but i personally wouldnt ever consider touching my tune. Asside from me potentially stuffing it, it voids all responsibilities the tuner had to correct any issues.
