Should I buy?

I'm currently looking at an 04 3.0r spec-b sedan in manual with 125 000km, but was wondering about a few different problems I've found with it, and what it's worth. First problem is the boot, the previous owner had three subs installed, then when the current owner took them out he realised that the majority of the trim and carpet has been removed. Any ideas on how much this is going to set me back to be made right? Secondly is the service history. When the previous owner had it, there was no services between 50 000 and 80 000km. Is this a concern? Third problem I found was the oil level, it was right down to the minimum mark when i looked. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Has the car had its major 100k service, normally I don't worry about service records because I imagine a lot of people are like me and don't bother keeping them

Low oil, any obvious leaks..?

Personally I wouldn't bother looking at it because there are many better examples out there.

Maybe some members on here near you could have a look for you..

Yeah, I was thinking of just buying some auto carpet and attempting to do it myself even. Couldn't see any obvious leaks though the car has just been sitting around for the last year or so and only occasionally been driven, which would have contributed to the oil being low. Has had its major service and one in between I think.There is better cars out there but for the price it's hard to look past, he wants 12 500 but it's been for sale for while so I think he would part with it for about 11k, which is pretty good at only 125000km.

If the oil is low then it's either leaking externally or chewing oil via combustion, both of which are not good signs and could be telling of further engine troubles which can be very expensive to fix...

If I were you I'd look around for something else which has had a better-documented and more consistent service record. See if anyone on the forums is selling would be a good start.
