YOU MUST GET ALIGNMENT DONE ASAP

I learnt the hard way and fucked a tyre that was less than 6 months old.. Now when the shoulder goes completely bald, I'll have to buy 4 new tyres because the other 3 are too worn down for me to replace just one tyre.

^ Yep, tyres can be expensive - why risk not getting an alignment when it's so cheap?

Jax Liverpool did mine the very next morning after I'd got my coilovers fitted - it was only $55.

remember that the top bolt is an eccentric for setting camber, so you NEED to try to undo the NUT off the bolt, not the other way round. I had no trouble with changing my struts at all with std tools.

oops.missed by that much.

Hopefully you've gotten an alignment done by now... but I'll jump on the GET AN ALIGNMENT ASAP bandwagon as well.

Just replaced both front tyres and got an alignment today ($259  ), because I changed my front left strut in March and neglected to align it immediately afterwards. The abnormal wear pattern didn't start show up until a couple of months ago, either. The outer shoulder of the front left tyre was completely bald. The guy at the shop said it had a fair bit of positive camber as well as slight toe it. Oh well, lesson learned :(

I'm probably getting a set of 4 Sachs/Boge struts to install with Kings Lows -- trust me, I'll take it for an alignment as soon as I'm done :P

If your coilovers have camber top adjustment, and depending on your rim design you can do your front camber to be very close to 0 degrees yourself with a 500mm level and 2 jacks. all you have to do is undo the camber top allen key bolts raise both front corners of your car until your level shows the rims is perfectly level (holding the level vertically on the rim)

i wouldn't recommend leaving it like this. i only did this because after i fitted my coilovers the camber was ridiculously negative, i mean nearly this bad

and i didn't want to damage the inside of my brand new ADVAN AD08's which were worth more than the coilovers lol. so i did the camber roughly myself for the 30 min drive to my cousins tyre shop where they found it to be -.3 degrees out which is better than driving it with -4.5 degrees. this only works if your rim doesent have petruding spokes that will interfere with the level.

however driving with negative camber isn't that dangerous.

All I did was use a hollow metal pipe and extended the ratchet handle with it.

I've dropped the front by 30 mm and have it about 16-18 clicks back from the hardest setting. Stock is at about 18 clicks up front on the Tein Street Flex. 14 clicks back is way too soft with firm springs.
