Car Alarms

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

Car Alarms

Guys,

Looking to fit a car alarm on my Subby.

Anyone got any recommendations on what I should get? Do any of you have one installed?

Let me know.

Cheers

Jase

I've got an Autowatch - great alarm but have to carry a seperate remote.

Those of you with "upgrade" type alarms (ie. using the factory key/remote to arm and disarm) what brand and model alarm do you have?
The reason i ask is cos when i looked at these a while back, most had a sensor on the door lock and once they sensed the door locks open(via factory remote/key) they would disarm - so if someone picks the lock, the alarm disarms too. I'd like to know what advancements have happened to these types of alarms.

So u can use your factory key like u normally do to lock and unlock your car?
Is this for subaru's only, or can it be done to other makes aswell?
