BOV with Ecutek Tune

Postby ricco » Mon Aug 05, 2013 3:52 pm

hey guy jus fitted a new bov to my tuned by ecutek lgt, i know i have to get it retuned, thats correct right?? i have it 100% atmo, so its not plumbed back, can our cars do that?? or do they have to be plumbed back 50/50?? as it is atm, when in high rev and gear change (auto) car lurches forward and back fires and sometimes give a slight loss of power, that purely tune issue yes?? maybe confusing hahaha reading this lol

Needs to be full recirculating as your ECU assumes the air is going back through the intake system but doesn't actually measure it.

Put the stock BOV back on, see if that fixes the issue you're now experiencing (it won't help with the brakes, of course).

Then, if you really want an atmospheric venting BOV (be aware that such a thing is not road-legal in any state of Australia, and you will be defected if it's discovered by the police), you will need to ask MRT if they can tune the car to account for an atmospheric-venting BOV, and if so, I suspect pay for the adjustment.

Requires alot more mods than just a tune to run a venting or even part recirc bov
