Swifts drop 30mm on a Standard GT (which is 15mm HIGHER than a GT-B)

so H&R would be similar

you would need to confirm that the spring perch heights are the same from stock struts to the Billies.
I know Phat had all kinds of issues with getting the S-Tech's to be the correct height on AUDM billies

Good find. I have an MY04 GT with Bilsteins purchased from WheelPower back in the day. Would they be the same Bilsteins featured in the car in that thread? If so then would it be safe to assume I'd get the same result?

assuming same spec vehicle with same accessories.
towbar is pretty heavy over the back end
and later models with 6 speeds or any auto will be a bit fatter than the 5 speed variants, so you could expect 5mm variance

Hmm Looks like the Swifts might be the go, Don't really want to spend more than $500 on them. I got a MY08 3.0RB Auto.
So I'm hoping to get that same/similar ride height.

I don't mind the S-Techs at all, Just worried about the ride "harshness", would pay more for comfort <3 !

Hey OP,

I have had both Tein S-Techs and Swift springs.
Bearing in mind I have a wagon, but I took some measurements.

CWTG
Standard GTB Front 360mm Rear 360mm
S-Techs Front 340mm Rear 320mm
Swifts Front 340mm Rear 340mm.

Swift state their springs are a 20mm Drop and this is about spot on. Swifts also come in sedan and wagon specific so check the model number.
S-Techs are suppose to be a 30mm Drop. Being a wagon, the rear on mine may be a lot more drop then sedan.

Just go coilovers - I'm running BC BRs with dampening just a hair over halfway F+R and spring rates are 6kg/mm F and 8kg/mm R (FYI stock Bilstein spring rates are 4kg/mm F, 5kg/mm R).

I wouldn't describe them as harsh but they are firmer than the old Bilstein combo and far less vertical squat upon acceleration and deceleration which I love.

Best thing about the coilovers is that you can set the height to the millimetre and fiddle around with dampening rates until you're happy with the ride

I was just about to start a similar thread am looking for the same thing

have been umming and arrghing over getting the phat edition s-techs teins, but have been a bit hesitant as i'd like to sit in one before I make purchase on something I m\ay regret, the roads up here are pretty bad so a much harsher ride is something that I don't wish to have

i'll be keeping my eye on here to see what people come up with

About to buy a set of Swift Springs but the supplier hasn't got to much info about them on a 3.0RB because they are springs for the GT?
He is worried about the dampening?

Seen them on a GTB/Auto.. would a 3.0RB/Auto vary significantly?

In terms of comfort.
Std GTB 9/10
STi 7/10
Swift 8/10
S-Tech 5/10 maybe even 4/10

This is only my opinion and what my be good for me may be terrible for someone else.
Try some pricing for Swift springs from the states, I found it a lot cheaper to import than get them local.
