Indeed exciting times - but Dan no never been asked that !

J - Matt will be tuning the ecu yes on Scott's dyno.

Going to be a very tight squeeze though - really worried about timing cos if we can't get the box in this Friday then tune won't happen for a few more weeks

I'm always full of surprises.

I hate it when things are soooo tight time wise and if one thing goes wrong it all goes up in smoke. :angry2:

But that is NOT going to happen as there is too many people waiting for the results of your beast !!! :D :air_kiss:

Box won't be ready in time unfortunately

So tune is delayed again - dunno til when maybe Saturday week if I'm lucky

And get this - the cause of the delay was literally one hour difference - reason being me trying to track down some suitable transmission fluid to allow the clutch packs and frictions / steel sets to be soaked in readiness for fitment (need to be soaked for 24 hours). Couldn't find anyone who had castrol transmax j in stock - even Subaru themselves (tried 3 of them) didnt have the genuine 5eat turbo fluid and only had transmax m which is a mineral fluid and not suitable.

Ended up going with penrite ATF-FS full synthetic after spending some time on the phone with them confirming if it was suitable to my gearbox.

If I had it one hour earlier i could've had the box completed by tomorrow evening, and wouldve been dropped in Friday - now its gotta wait til next week as my trans builder isn't here Friday

Ahhhhh knacker!

Then again, good things come to those who wait :D

We are running Redline trans fluid in mine so will be interesting to compare notes.

Soon, soon, I feel the pain, it's frikkin tough, all this waiting!

With all the gearbox messing around and what not, have you looked into some sort of DCCD or torque split that can be altered in cabin? Handy tool for the strip.

Yeah jake not really interested in changing the torque split at this stage

I know frankster whom i bought the bushings from has done it, but I believe this may potentialy weaken the box with shock loading transferring to the still relatively stock centre diff. I'd rather the load be distributed as per stock - 55 rear 45 front

Not too keen on changing chassis and suspension dynamics either (which changing the torque split will do)

Probably the only thing I would do is a plated 1.5 way rear diff
