Hello from NZ

Postby jbrizz » Wed Jul 10, 2013 4:53 pm

Hi all, I'm from Christchurch NZ and I just bought a 2004 JDM Legacy 3.0R Spec B with only 41,000km on the clock! It was imported from Japan specifically for me because I had to have one in black.

I love everything about the car except for the silly throttle response! Sometimes I swear it takes 2 seconds of my foot being flat before it decides to give me all the power!

The plan is definitely to get a tune to fix the throttle and maybe to swap the R160 viscous LSD for an R180 torsen from the facelift, but apart from that and almost obsessive maintenance I plan to more or less leave it alone. It is more car than I deserve already.

I dare say I will come here for help with every little squeak and rattle the car develops though so I thought I should introduce myself first.

Now for pics!

Oh yeah, but the tail lights aren't factory. Fitted by the previous owner in Japan (along with about 25 other gadgets I had to rip out), they are Hanabi LED brake normal incandescent turn signal. They look good but they both get condensation after a few days of rain, might sell them on and get the factory ones instead.
