Injector upgrade ?

Postby Khalood92 » Tue Jul 09, 2013 11:23 pm

Hey guys new to the forum, I've recently purchased an 05 manual gt, I've already done the following mods:

-turbo back exhaust system (xforce dumpipe with invidia cat back with quad tips

-Perrin intake

-vf43 turbo

Just wondering if I need to upgrade my injectors or will my stock one do the job ? I know I have to do the fuel pump just unsure about the injectors, are there any direct fit ?

Stock injectors are fine if your running less than 17psi boost at 6400rpm

Fuel pump get the wobbles at 165kw @ wheels odd. I had mine upgraded to an AVO 245lph one (drop in) to make 180kw. I now run a 450lph walbro, because I am a man.
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.

Stock size in the low 500's from memory. So decent size. I think you would get close to 200 with them personally. But you would need a decent turbo and supporting mods. As for upgrades, they are a side feed injector. I am running some PE850s, as they were the biggest more affordable injector I could find. There are some Sard 1100 side feeds but they are rather pricey.

I've read somewhere that you have to run an aftermarket ecu if you run aftermarket injectors, can anyone confirm this ? I found a guy that has a set of hks 555cc injectors used outve his gt, would they be alright ?

Simply not true. 555's would do the trick. The thing is, that vf43 ain't going to get you within a cooee of 200kw at the old treads.

Edit: thinking about it, it should be capable of doing it.
