Help. ABS & stability light on.

Postby diffo » Sat Jul 06, 2013 9:39 am

G'day all,
I have now got the ABS & stability control lights on.
2004 Lib wagon 3.0, auto
Checked fuses etc & nothing. Manual says to take it to Subaru.
Anyone have any ideas of WTF is wrong or what to do?
Only thing that has been changed is that i installed a tow bar. I have disconnected the tow bar wiring loom etc & nothing changes. Re-connected now & same, same.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks in advance

Thanks Ben,
I'm in Melb now.
I have been toying with the Tactrix idea. Being a complete noob to any car newer than about 1980, i'm a touch gun shy i guess.
Could you suggest a place to buy the cable etc that i may need (& part number etc if any).
Once i get that i can try & sort it.
Thanks again,
Diffo

Sounds like it could be one of two things.

- ABS sensor fault or you've knocked some wiring in that area.

- You've broken traction and a vehicle speed sensor fault has been recorded by the ABS sensors.

Either way take it to BBB and he'll be able to check it out for you.
