Im just doing the VF52 turbo. I live in sydney, so cant go for a bigger turbo as I wouldn't have anywhere to stretch the cars legs enough to hit boost. That turbo with exhaust and turbo inlet should get it to around 200kw @ the wheels.

Have a read of page 1 on my thread. Just the exhaust inlet and tune made 180kw. So the new turbo will only fetch around 20kw more. That will be my ceiling. I dont want to open the engine and thats about the limit for an auto. Injectors and fuel pumps in the future maybe if e85 becomes more common.

Have some new slotted rotors arriving today or tomorrow, but could be a few weeks before my new pads arrive.. desperately need the new brake set up.. my pads are running VERY low!.

What discs and pads did you go for?

I have to get some new front rotors and pads and were thinking DBA 4000's and not sure about pads as yet.

New turbo, 3 port and tune happening in 5 weeks. MSR was booked solid until then.

I reckon it's worth doing the inlet pipe upgrade while you're doing the turbo.
It improves spool rate, increases power and torque and saves a retune if you want to do it later.

Thanks Peter. I actually had an inlet installed with the first tune. Youre right though, great mod.. definitely improved spool time a touch.

As for the rotors, I got the dba4000's. I haven't put them on the car yet as im waiting on pads, but im pretty confident it should be a noticable improvement.

Well i had my paint correction done on the weekend.
however the swirls/scratches weren't removed.
One thing i wasnt aware of is that they cant use a rotory buffer on your roof as the roof is too flexible and doesnt allow even heat distribution (according to the detailer anyway). Apparently this means you burn through the clear coat too easily. I was a bit bummed about that as my roof is one of the main areas that was scratched.

looks like its come up a treat Adam.

With the roof, you could use a good quality orbital buffer to do the job. Will take longer, after a good clay bar, but with a quality pad and the use of say some Menzerna to correct some of the swirls, you could finish it off the gloss with something like Prima Amigo and seal it with something like Driven Marine polish. You'll find you could get a pretty decent finish with that combination.
Cheers

Doesn't sound right to me... Swirls are usually light enough to get rid of completely, on my blue car the paint was horrible (Swirls and RDS) and I've got it to 95% in the areas I've hit (granted with a random orbital polisher). Including the roof :P

But it does look nice and shiny :)

Well, the word 'swirls' doesnt really capture how bad my scratches are. The previous owner has somehow scratched the paint work in a back and forward direction.. ive said it before but it genuinely looks like it was washed with sandpaper. The detailer said its the worst hes ever seen. He got almost all of it out of every panel excluding the roof. Mind you he was making sure he kept the clear coat at a safe level.

Thanks for the compliment Shav!
The orbital is the thing he said not to use on the roof as they produce alot of heat which helps get through the clear coat. As the roof is flexible you cant properly distribute the heat which results in the risk of burning through your clear coat completely. Its only 1 panel of the car, so im happy to go to town on it by hand with a few different stages of compound. Im pretty confident i can greatly reduce it and maintain the clear coat. :D
