So you reckon 700 nm at the crank is legit?

That's what an E55 with a 5.4 litre supercharged V8 running 13.5psi puts out. Call me a sceptic.

Easy enough to calculate back from wheel power to crank power and since torque is derived from RPM and horsepower, the maths is simply physics

250Kw@wheels at 4000rpm(car made 370Kw at 7200rpm in manual form, considering a tapering torque curve, 80% more rpm results in roughly 50% more power while flat torque would give 80% more peak power)

250Kw*1.3405 = Hp@wheels so assuming 33% drivetrain loss, is roughly 502Hp@flywheel
Hp = (FtLbs*rpm) / 5252

So 502 = (FtLbs*4000) / 5252
FtLbs = (442*5252)/4000
= 660FtLbs

Convert FtLbs into Nm is * 1.3405 which is 884Nm :)

So after a short visit with Matt - we have deduced that the slip I'm experiencing is definitely mechanical slip

Using some logic, that would tell me the new setup is making a substantial amount more power / torque at 4000rpm than previously (which wasn't a slug)

So with current timing and afr's being very safe and conservative, will have to wait til my new box is in (next fortnight) before tuning for full power

Can't wait to see what this beast makes and does on the quarter.

Hopefully the box swap goes to plan Mick.

Yeah, third gear has the tacho spinning to rev limiter faster than 2nd gear haha. 2nd gear pulls like a freight train to 8000rpm and was slip free so it should be almost brutal once the new box is setup

Sounds good.
Told you that you would get yours before mine....

Had few delays, parts not arriving etc.

Definite in August for mine, no rush, gotta get it right.

Haha that's awesome thanks dawesy

I put a couple more degrees of timing into the tune today

Fark me this car is scary when it comes on boost in second. It reminds me of my gemini drag car first time I drove it on c16

I cannot wait to see what it does in third once it locks up

And this is all still on 20psi

I want to hear more about this Gemini.

I have always had a soft spot for them.
