Very nice man.

Whats the ground clearence like now?? Would you be below the 100 off the ground at that height?

Im thunking that coil overs are the next mod for me. WHEN i get them i want mine to sit flush with a little tuck at the front and a little bit more tuck at the rears. Just worried that i will be like 50mm off the ground.!!
Not a Subaru...... Something MUCH better

That's what's good about coilovers, you can choose the height! Mine is basically want you want I think.
Less than 100mm from the ground to the centre CAT. I think it's about 70-80mm.

I've had the rears rolled by mark when I got the wheels so that's not a problem, but the front scrub a fair bit.
Getting them rolled right now!

Make sure they DONT cut the inner liner. Heat it up and remold it out so it sits up...

The inner liners are already f**ked. The two fronts need to be replaced. They've been looking sad for months!

Guards rolled. My mate did a good job. Could've been better.
Didn't know you could move two bolts on the camber tops to get more camber out of them, so I did that too.
No longer scrubbing except for the liners on big bumps.

Yep I've been in this same boat for a while  still trying to figure out the best way of getting the liners out of the way. Have heated them once but I think I will try double-sided tape to the underside of the guard next.

My mate that helped me today has a 31 skyline, he used cable ties with the fat end through the liner, then up through a hole under the bonnet and locked it off with another end of a cable tie. (If that makes sense).
Ill try giving that a go but from a first glance there's not many holes to go through in the engine bay

edit*

Faaaaarrrr out just set the dampness settings to the softest all round.
It feels just a soft or even softer than bilstein. drives like a boat but damn its comfortable!

Coilovers. Best money spent on the car.

Just confirmed the height, 80mm from the lowest point (the cat before the Y pipe). That's without anyone in the car, and low fuel (not that it'd make a huge difference).
Legal lowest in Vic is 100mm with 4 passengers in the car from memory.

The good thing about our cars is that even though they have low clearance, the wheels never tuck like a commodore or falcon on SSSL springs so ours appear "sporty", but not "dumped".

The car sometimes scrapes over speed bumps, nothing serious though. I assume the coils will settle 20mm or so. If that happens i might have to raise it a tiny bit.
The lip scrapes all the time. But the could thing about replica PU lips is that they're pretty much unbreakable!

I like the thought of being able to set the coilovers to soft when you want. Comfort is a massive plus in my eyes and if you can set the dampers to suit a nice cruisy ride, but with the turn of a dial switch it to hard for some twisty fun, it makes the decision a lot easier. I was contemplating a Koni setup when the stock shocks die, but for a little extra you can get these and have the best worlds, its a no brainer.
Cheers

Exactly. And to think I was gonna spend $450 on tein springs!

Thanks mate, it was fun to do.

Just got an allignment done at pedders in Ringwood.
The tow before allignment was -15 on the fronts haha.
Camber is -2.5 each side on fronts, and -1.5 for the rears.

Should drive pretty well now!

Thats a lot of camber too. The handling on that would be killer now.
