HEY Mick,

Received my 2010 JDM GRB EJ207 for the 04 Lib today. W20 Heads W20C 702 printed on the block EJ20 molded proud. I had 2011 WRX tgv top mount injector blocks and fuel lines fitted so the plastic liberty manifold will fit straight on. No injectors fitted so I need to find a good set.
The build starts on Thursday.

What needed doing to the left side Liberty exhaust cam sensor to make it fit into the 207?

Thanks in advance.
regards
Rob

Good stuff rob

What are the castings on the block? Is it b20c?

If so then I think you may have received revision A of this motor, which has the same bore liners as all previous ej207's.

It's only revision b that had the thicker bores and thus gives it the sturdier power handling

Cam sensor needed to be modified to fit - have a look and I'm sure you'll figure it out :)

Nothing molded in the block near the casing join like yours, so must be a standard 207. I didn't specifically ask for a spec c so didn't expect one.
Old engine being pulled out today. Mid next week should see the 207 come together and installation on Friday week.

It must be agony having another setback waiting for your box to come back to finally tune the beast!!!

Went back to scott on 17th june but was apparently dropping fuel pressure at 5000rpm so he wouldnt tune it

Got it back, have been logging constantly, and no sign of fuel pressure dropping :?

So after hours of scaling my maf for closed loop stuff, I was finally able to give it a wot squirt in second today to about 8000rpm

It friggen felt awesome - really throws you in your seat

Keep in mind that mixtures are rich as shit (10.2:1 at wot from 10psi onward) and timing is bugger all (pulled 6 degrees of timing out from my old tune, which theoretically gives me another 8-10 degrees of timing I can add into the mix once fully tuned

Third gear still slips although I have a feeling this relates to tune not mechanical slip

So I'm waiting on my Gbox bits to be ready, which should be in the coming week. Once received box will take a week to build and throw in at which point ill be getting Scott or Matt to tune it depending on availability

So was there a fuel pressure issue or not?

Put it this way, on the manual one we had 880Nm of crank torque at 4000rpm based on 33% drivetrain loss or roughly 770Nm crank torque based on 25% drivetrain loss.

So you reckon 700 nm at the crank is legit?

That's what an E55 with a 5.4 litre supercharged V8 running 13.5psi puts out. Call me a sceptic.
