Nice one as always Mark!

What did you use to support the tranny when mating it with the engine? Must have been heavy!

Thanks guys. :D

Just drove 40kms to work and its sweet. Tight as a nuns proverbial (installed all new shifter bushes) and I can believe how close the throw is between gears, well I have been driving a 5spd Kia Rio all week.

I made a plate 400 X 200 that locates and is locked into the lowline jack. Works just like a trans jack. Removed the auto trans and fitted the manual trans solo. :D

Just doing little tidy ups atm....

New weather seals going on all round, plus cleaning the 16 years of crap off the paint underneath them.

No rust patches back there... Win! The Gen 1's were notorious for it.

The little things that count.

A few more little additions making it more JDM spec...

Fujitsubo NA muffler. Smaller and quieter than the Ganador turbo muffler.

JDM speedo and tacho. 180km/7000rpm redline vs AUDM 220km/6500rpm redline. Just little things. I couldnt fit the whole cluster as theres a few wiring differences with the symbols around the cluster.

Retrofit JDM puddle lamps into my door trims.

Nice work Mark, been on the lookout for courtesy lights for mine also.
Just read your whole thread, this car seems like it has been a nice blank canvas for you.
Can't wait to see what other rims this car will get!
Apparently i've never been on live television before
