I have access to a hoist, a spring compressor, and mechanically-handy friends.
I've been considering Tein S techs to go with the factory bilsteins, but i don't want a harsh ride, i wan't it to be only slightly stiffer than stock.
I also don't want it too low for practicality reasons.
If i can get my hands on a cheap set of STI pink springs, how much would it lower it, and would the handling/ body roll/ steering lag improve at all?
My advice: don't stuff around with lowering springs - if you're going to do it once, you may as well do it properly. Lowering springs will need revalved shocks otherwise you're just sending them to a premature death, plus the ride will be shit.
For a few hundred more than the above set up you can go a brand new set of BC BRs which are height adjustable to the mm and you don't need to worry about mismatched springs to dampener combinations. Plus, you get pillowball mounts for the fronts for easy camber adjustment as well as 30 click dampener adjustment.
