Classic.... Don't forget the socks, sporting camel toes. I've some boaties you can borrow Bruce, don't forget to pop the collar on your polo.

I haven't started with the socks yet. Still not cold enough and I don't want to unleash that look on the public just yet.

You've got a much cooler interior though! Looks very clean. What does it say in that compartment under the AC/fan controls?
I wouldn't bother with any engine conversions yet, I'd be on the search for a manual gearbox and LSD which will be plenty of fun. The 323 engine isn't underpowered but auto trans and open diff kills a lot of sideways fun.

Here's a pic of my old girl. I still think the fun factor in the E30 is higher than my GT. One day I'll be back in an E30 M3....drool......

Enjoy! I'll be watching progress on this :D

That's a great looking E30. I'm hoping these will be collectible soon. Coming upto 30 years old and with only 1600 converted by Baur they're pretty cool.

I've been looking at the E30 M3 too, but quite expensive as they're highly collectible. Would also love the last of the proper manual E46 M3 coupe as I've loved the in line six.

Thanks Bruce, agreed 100%. I was going to sell it to a mate, but with all the hard work that we put into it (bodywork rust free, beige interior swap, expensive audio install, new roof, list keeps going...), my dad decided to buy it off me as he also believes the value of them will start increasing soon. I'm glad it stayed in the family too.

Also, keep the chrome wheel arches. Looks classy like a classic 8)

Well I've ended up selling that BMW Baur convertible. I was a bit concerned about its history and ultimately didn't like the attempt at the previous owners attempt at trying to match the hood with the body color.

I also didn't like the red interior, just not me.

So I sold it.

The last 6 weeks I've been very busy with work. End of financial year project deadlines and budgets is what I attribute to it. Anyway I earned a bit more via overtime so I've bought another one.

This one comes with very good service history and in more original condition. Also it's in hennarot, a rare colour, due to it's popularity or lack thereof back then. This one's a manual and I'm off to Sydney with BBB on 28th June to pick it up.

I also picked up a 1990 318i auto coupe in zinnerberot, red, for Josh and might try my luck at stancing it for a bit of fun. This car is coming down from QLD and should be in Melbourne tomorrow.

Anyway here are some pics.

Thanks Ain, just having a bit of fun and something to do now that I can't think of anything further to do to the lib. Maybe a tablet installation, but I'm trying my best not to do it. :)

I'm actually looking forward to trip with BBB. Someone would say 9 hours in a confined space is too much. But I'll take my chances.

As long as he doesn't keep suggesting a part out...

Glad you didn't lose interest in the Baur altogether. I just checked on carsales and was ecstatic to see how quickly these things are appreciating.
The new one looks in very original condition. :good:

17x8.5+20 front and 17x10+15 rear are a good size for some E30 stance

I love the E30, so not going to lose interest. It's something I always wanted to get my mitts on growing up.

Yeah I reckon I've bought just before they really take off. I've noticed on the Euro forums these cars and the number of resto threads and questions going through the roof.

In 6 months these things will possibly twice the prices being asked now.

I've been offered another Baur as well which I'm considering.

Will have pics of the 1990 318i auto couple possibly this weekend after I've picked it up and washed it.

That was another good pickup with the same owner for 12 years with full service history and working everything including the air con.

I actually have a set of Enkei RS+M that I'm thinking of chucking on. They're 17x7. Not sure if it'll look any good. If not I'll hunt some Euro such as BBS rims down.

This got dropped off this week. Needs a little cosmetic work but is in good mechanical condition.

Hoping to stance this once it passes its roadworthy inspection and registration.

The auto coupe drives really well, keeps up in traffic, the suspension defo needs sorting but it wasnt too bad in the short term, apart from that feeling that, as an auto, its driving you :P

Looking forward to driving the 5mt 6cyl for sure
