Not as happy as it should be and I am being very patient...
There is some shudder in 1st to 2nd shifts if I use WOT and then back off, but only after the whole engine and transmission are warmed completely. No sign of any shudder when cold. This is a major concern from my perspective as there is potential for damage IMO. The worst version oif this was like kangaroo hopping! And so violent it was visible from outside the car.
On the 2nd to 3rd shift, it hangs on too long and is almost a two stage shift as there is a pause of about 0.5 to 1.0 secs where the revs are held while it shifts.
3rd to 4th shift is perfect both up and down. I would like all shifts to be like this one.
4th to 5th upshift is good, downshift is I get a wobble when it drops down and is visible outside the car like a dropped the clutch with high revs in a manual downshift.
SO, really hoping these issues can be addressed soon. Car is drivable in family mode, but not as good as it should be in WOT or spirited mode.

I have an oil cooler for the transmission and monitor the ATF temps occasionally. I have not seen any high ATF temps.

Having never owned a turbo, not sure if it is the same, but it feels like the 1st to 2nd clutch pack is slipping and grabbing to create the kangaroo hopping effect. It only ever happens when the car is fully up to operating temp, mostly in stop/start type traffic and during the WOT in 1st, back off at 60 kph, then it has this kangaroo hopping trouble changing into 2nd.
Anyway, some other food for thought is to flush all the diff oils to ensure they are the correct spec (this hint came from David at Kewish Transmissions). It is possible that someone may have put an NS spec diff oil in one of the diffs (centre is the likely candidate). Done one flush, but it will need several and will do this over the next cycle of shortened servicings.
Do not misinterpret my rant, it was not directed to Kido Tuning, just the frustration of the current situation. And having read Matt's last post, I agree, the last E85 tune, the shifting was very close to perfect and some minor adjustments would have made it so. Since then, I have gone back to 98RON and had a full service done by Subaru. I am suspiciously thinking this may have been a possible event where an incorrect spec oil may have been introduced. So focussing on making sure the oils are correct (on advice from David), then look to ensuring the tuning is right.
If that fails, the box will be dropped for an open inspection, but I hope that does not have to happen.
