Running 235's at a minumum and some more camber is a better idea. Even 225's are too narrow.

It just looks wrong as it is now IMO and very unroadworthy.

No mucking around, prepared to learn on it/live with it.

On mine I got the guards rolled but I needed a little more rolling up on the rear guard lip just at the junction of the plastic insert and the guard.
And around 3mm off the upper inner edge of the plastic bits too to stop them catching.
Looking at the wheel at around 10 or 2 o'clock.

Yeh that was the original approach ha ha, I knew what I wanted and got it done. I can live with having a skinny tyre for a little while till I get 225's, probably a few weeks now I've decided, I'm fairly confident I can fit them with the set-up I'm going for.

And that part of the guard might be whats catching over speed bumps, Ill check it out tomorrow morning.

And to everyone else yes I understand it is to skinny and I said I'm doing something about it. I respect your opinion but please, lets try being a little less insulting in your posts. One way to scare of a new member.

Lie on your bank and you might spot the shiny rubbed bits in the guard with a strong torch lol.

blacktop™ wrote:Yeah I definately think different tyres are in order, unless you go all out and drop it lower as that way the setup "needs" a 215. In that one pic it looks like the tyre ready to pop off the bead!

Not a massive fan of the wheels but a big fan of the specs and the fact you got them on and are rolling around on it.

I don't really want to go much lower, In the front yes but only to level out the guards a little. To be honest I thought the car would need a 215 for this set-up to be achievable.

My next set of wheels will be almost exactly the same specs hopefully, but obviously with a bigger tyre. I will just have to see how I go.

Not so much insulting as being blunt and straight to the point. :air_kiss:

225 is still far too skinny on a 9.5". May as well leave the 215's on there.

That's fair enough, lets be constructive here, what would you recommend?

EDIT: Ah sorry I didn't notice that was your post above with recommended tyre sizes, thanks champ.

Mine was rubbing knocking the guard for enough k's to go through the paint on the lip where it touched :P
And the plastic inserts kept popping out at the top.
Not massively low, just wide & 5up...

Nah not gonna bother with this thread, not worth the effort if majority of people are just going to sit back and ridicule. If you really wanna see ill send you a link to another site I'm posting on.

Nice car btw mate.

Someone cant handle criticism......... If you post on the internet, especially on a forum where the majority like to do things properly, expect it.....

Nice stock Liberty Mark.... :P The Outback on the other hand... drool is still attached to lip when it hits the floor.
You have to be nicer to the new members, break them in a little and then start slipping the wristy ideas in. That's how you duped me.

The mechanical stig is too JDM James, never listen to him unless he has something good to say.
