Stop foglights burning out?

So,

I've had 2x philips diamond vision globes stop working within 6 months of installing them (one on each side)

Anyone know how I can prevent it? I've got an opportunity to have them replaced at 50% cost, but I would only do it if I can somehow prevent this happening again.

Alternate option is to go for more yellower globes and only use them as actualy poor visibility lights

I'm in the same boat, 2x dead blue vision globes
need to find a good LED option.
Does Leo have anything suitable?

Could be a globe design issue or that the fog area is quite restrictive and allows excess heat to build up. I've got a set of Leo's HIDs in mine and have zero issues whatsoever.

Sounds like you guys just need to bite the bullet...

PS Rob - LEDs don't light up shit, they're just for aesthetics (just ask Dawsey haha)

the stock fog's don;t really do much anyway.
I only really run mine for DRL purposes anyway.

Agreed stock foggies are pretty useless - the HIDs give off a ton of light so are actually useful. Leo sells a bunch of LED foglights - should be a thread for them in his commercial vendors section.

Ben the postfl off the top of my head are 9006 globes, just double check in your car manual, either get some off Leo or ebay mate, they are very easy to intall they are plug and play. theres a post in the walkthroughs that gives a rough idea how to access the fog lights, they are held in with 2 bolts and they come right out. any dramas feel free to ask

I think Kieran has done this on his car - not too sure how much overlap you'd have with very rough prefacelift guide here. Maybe shoot him a PM I think the only major difference from pre to post is that post has a reflector housing instead of projector.

As for buying, Leo has it all in his thread for LED fogs and HIDs here.

Thanks for the advices: after my roo incident I want tons more light lower to the road so static roo's, if any, cast bigger shadows on the road.

Plus I'd like to take advantage of the extra illumination to use yellow overlays to get the cutting fog effect...
