Exhaust system for performance

Newbie can you got to Garage 88 and tell Mick you want a good exhaust performance wise but using stock mufflers. He will give you a good price and it will be done by the best bloke.

Im thinking of asking Ric to add a "Newbie GT questions" sections for non specific questions.
Only as you are always asking the same/very similar stuff.

I'm interested in the stealthback effect.

Going to overlay 3rd gear pull logs from my 3" tbe with the WRX STi sedan muffs (louder than stock but not deep in tone) and with the Prova's (straight through, same dia inlets as the AVO Y outlets)

My current tune works with both configs.

The latter sounds waaaay faster lol.
Which will be quicker???

At increased performance (say 200 atw plus) the stocks would become a restriction

mick over 200 at the w stick muffs need to be changed?
Is this because of the diameter of the flange to them and the smaller pipe on muffler ?

Are sti quads also a restriction ?

A: Yes but also that the stock muffs are more baffled inside...

So stock muffs even on 3" dump & mid will start to restrict performance over 200kw atw...
Coincidentally that's around the safe limit for the stock turbo, tmic and injectors.

It's all about your intent and ultimately your budget.

Yes that includes STi liberty muffs and WRX STi sedan muffs due to the inlet dia and int baffling.
