SatNav: Whereis V16 C1?

I'm just about to launch the sat nav and mcintosh into space with a trebuchet very soon.

Does anyone have a working download for V16 C1 of the whereis maps? The car only has V12 in it at the moment and it doesn't even have the M7 on it..

Whats the most current version of the sat nav.. i can only imagine mine is way out of date

Believe that v18 is the most recent.

Why version 16?

Seems the MY06 Satnav doesn't take anything over v16 c1.. I tried v17 v2 disk I downloaded and it says the maps can't be found after showing the maps corrupted (tried two discs burned at 2x speed)

Well you can not longer get the updates from Whereis, pricey as they are. Subaru no longer have them as well.

I'm not sure if v18 c1 will work, just trying to find a link to it. I'm only guessing the C1 and C2 revisions refers to the model of Kenwood satnav. I'm hoping C1 is for older models.

Information on the internet is temporary at best it seems.

Ok, so found a link to v18 c1 maps, downloaded and wrote the iso to a dvd-r at 3x speed to be safe.

The wife now has the M7!!

This is a MY06 car with the Kenwood Satnav running firmware 1000.

People were saying that the 18 maps were only for 2007 onwards. Not sure why.

As it's stated in other threads. C1 is for the older kenwoods, C2 is for newer models 2010+


Now wonder if there is a way to update the kenwood firmware
