Im confused

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

i've had several offers quoting the redbook price.

redbook covers the listed transfer price. now, i'm not saying that i will, but i know MANY people who put a lower "value" on the car for transfer purposes to reduce the amount of tax they pay on it.

also, it's my understanding that redbook shows national prices.

would help to explain that to any potential buyer.

The bottomline is that its the guide book for car prices. Anyone with a brain would be looking at it when buying a 2nd hand car, but it is just a guide & its not ment to be the final word on car prices.

Obviously there are varibles such as options, milage etc. It also comes down to the type of buyer. Someone who is buying an older / classic car for instance might be prepared to pay more money then the redbook value because its in good condition etc. Its all in the eye of the beholder.

I hope that makes some sense.

Heh-heh. He's trying to say those wheels appeal mainly to modders and you're limiting your market quite extensively. Try to put the stocks back on and re-post your car again if you still have no luck.

Big wheels are nice but they are not to everyone's taste. Even if there was a modder who was buying, they tend to like to buy stock cars and build it up themselves from scratch.

So unless you can advert your car on a forum such as this where you're amongst modders, a mainstream site such as CarSales is more suited for near stock cars. Just realise that your market is much smaller than if it were stock.
