That would make some level of sense (even though the drilling doesn't remove much material, grams count). $deity knows the Mk4 Golf R32 brakes I had on the Bora (334mm x 32mm) were heavy bastards, and that weight definitely had a variety of impacts. The car stopped bloody well though. :)

Isnt that the point of making a car look nice though... its always wanky, but we're all guilty of it

The DBA website has a good graph for the use of their rotors.. it says that the cross drilled rotors are just for show cars and normal street use.. not suitable for agressive street driving or track.

Brakes are only as good as the person using them.

Btw no point comparing Porsche cross drilled brakes to the shit DBA makes, first there are massive weight application difference….. think the weight of a 911 compared to Ford XR8, secondly DBA are stone age engineered with fancy slots and holes.
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

That was my point... its not cross drilled rotors that are shite.. its the brand. Obviously cross drilled arent shite if the top car companies in the world use them.

Speaking of.. Was searching for part #'s and they only list from T2 slotted and up (T3, Heavy duty etc) and don't list part numbers for standard OE replacement rotors (going slotted on fronts and OE replacement rears). Any ideas?

I had no trouble finding part numbers for my car.. but i was looking for T2+

Try shooting them an email.. theyll get back to you quickly id imagine. How much more is it for slotted rears over the OE replacement? Why dont you just go slotted all round?

It wouldn't be a problem but they only list from T2 slotted and up as said. Might shoot them an email, if slotted aren't much more than OEM I may just do that ;)

Ha ha, this topic has gone way off what it was initially about. I'm enjoying the read.

Now I gotta go back through the topic and see if there was anyone keen on getting brake pads, and to inform those that were keen on Hawk Performance Ceramics that I am no longer going for them until I'm due to replace my pads again.
Wanting to buy/looking for: single STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille
Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me as soon as possible. I have cash ready.
