Vented Front Guards for STI

Postby DonGreen » Tue Apr 30, 2013 10:54 am

Does anyone know if you can get the vents for the front guards as fitted to Legacy's overseas, and if you can retrofit them to aussie libertys.

I know they're a bit "M3 wannabe" looking, but I like them, and wouldn't mind finding out more info. Anyone imported large body panels like this (front guards) from Japan, or know if it's possible, for a non-astronomical price?

I think Arith had some of those vents on his old GT... Could be wrong on the member.

Looked hot.

I found the ford focus rs guard vents look very similar and you can buy them cheaply off ebay

You'd be very lucky to find S402 guards to begin with
let alone what they would cost without freight

Pretty sure you need to get a VIN from an S402 to even order one but even then no idea if they'd allow you to buy and import into Aus...

Thanks guys. On further investigation, it looks like s402 guards are wider, and probably wouldn't fit anyway (apart from being virtually unavailable in Aus).

Guess I'll have plenty to play with once I do get the STI, hopefully in a month or 2.

That link is for the rear bumper lip I think. On their page I don't see any links to being able to purchase the fenders on google translate. I remember when Arith bought them they were still a test item I think. Are you sure G88 can get them now?

Michael from garage 88 has contacts in high places

Those fenders are generally not available to the public

But I know of six sets that are on cars here in Sydney alone , all sourced through mick at garage 88

Not cheap though so be prepared...

Yep I spoke to Garage 88 about the DAMD wide vented fenders and they were $1300-1400 for the 2. And only fibreglass as well.

Also (jslayz) said that they required stretching and a fair bit of fecking around to get on right. I decided it could cost me $2k by the time it was done ...... So didn't bother.!!!

They are super ober sexy tho.!!
Not a Subaru...... Something MUCH better

NOPE..... That's shit too. Bus anyone??

Don't get fiberglass front guards. They look great when brand new and freshly painted but they aren't very strong and crack easily.

Thanks again guys. Looks like the guards wouldn't be worth the effort, damm (uber) sexy tho.

Love the taillights as well.

Wonder if they are available. Anyone have replacement, aftermarket clear(er) taillights fitted to a post-facelift?
