Postby MishaGT » Mon Apr 21, 2008 9:07 pm

Sup Lads!

I am just wondering if anyone has sound clips / videos of the hks ssq bov on their libertys!? Ive gone onto youtube but its mainly on other cars - I'm pretty sure a fair few guys have them installed, anyone have any sound clips or vids handy??

Cheers!

SSQ's sound exactly the same on every car, the whistle.

I have extended the bolt piece on mine a few mm, so it does not go off ALL the time. Now it only goes off at full boost, which is good, with a hint of flutter through the filter.

I actually want to get the old SSQV, but because I'm trying to keep my car fairly stock looking (At the moment) I'm not sure its the best choice.

Does it simply bolt on or is an adaptor plate required?

Does the engine cover still fit over it?

Thanks for the pics Leo. Essentially instead of bolting on directly to the flange like the stock or GFB one, it relocates the BOV to an adjacent location. Thus no cutting of the engine cover is required to accommodate it's bulk.

The HKS SSQV is now on my car (Cheers Leo!) & I'm loving it.

I've got auto, so I obviously don't get the noise at gear change (Which is awesome since its my daily driver) but when I hold gears &/or back off I get that awesome awesome awesome SSQV sound.

Have heard many different roumors about BOVs with autos & flyby wire. So far I've had no dramas & the car is running sweet!

You won't have any dramas with the SSQ.

I have never had any.

That was quick swingn! Did you end up getting it off eBay or from a retailer? And did you get it with the BL5 kit or universal?
