Yeah man! Use that brush on the wheels first, then on the undercarrige, then if the concrete floor is dirty from motorbike mud, i wash it also... with the brush, then i get to the paint work, starting from the bottom sill.

She’s not wrong

As long as the paint is sealed and you wash the car correctly.

My diamond grey lib was lucky to get are wash every 3 months, but when it did, it pissed off a lot of these owners that washed their cars weekly.

It originally had a single stage polish when new and layer of OCW spray wax applied, I re-applied the OCW with every wash. I made sure to use a foam lance and 2 bucket wash method and four years on zero swirl marks. Used a wool mitt to wash, waffle towels to dry, micro fibre towel for OCW application.

Most paint damage happens during the washing stage.

But washing only once every 3 months (depending on how much it's driven) means a lot of shit gets bonded to the paint, so a clay bar + decontamination would be needed to get the car properly clean. But yes you are right with everything you said. But you can wash your car weekly and never get swirls if you know what you are doing.

Even using all correct products and procedures you can still end up with scratches when car is in direct sun this can be seen

I use a noodle sponge and two bucket method and still get issues :/ and microfiber towels to dry

Any help would be great and advice

Once my Lib gets a paintjob Ill be spending the extra and having the 'proper' paint protection added. Not that junk they offer you with a new car. This stuff last 18 months, when ever the car gets wet the water forms beads and just rolls off!
