quite a few guys with heavily modified H4's carrying on in a H6 NA thread... feel free to argue in your own engine specific threads fella's

Ever seen feedback for MRT......
Search for posts by Jim and the lunched pistons from his new motor...
and "outrageous power claims"
Pulse Racing getting 195KW ATW from a VF35 on 17psi...
I don't care about any of them or how good/ bad Matt';s work is
and will be working with a local tuner who has never touched a Subaru H6 before when i get off my backside and organise it.
Point is, one bloke is now happy with his car.. and no matter how "bad" people may think the tune is, can't be worse than the stock dogsh!t that Subaru have put in there
those of us that drive one on a stock tune everyday KNOW what they're like for more than 10 minutes at a time.
Great fun when you're up it at 3500rpm+, doughy and rattly under 2500.
They use sh!tloads of fuel anytime you have to change gears more than once a minute, and will use nothing doing 120KM/h up the highway.
Can we get a single stickied thread created called "xxx's tune was sh!t" and confine it all to there. Makes it easy for new members to find
anyone that has a bad experience can leave their comment in there and b!tch away to their hearts content.

lets do some heli's....

Mentioning breaking traction probably stirred a few of us up, since ive been in Bruces car with 200ish atw and we never once broke traction. If we're talking about cornering then even stock tune loses grip wirh body roll.
Good to hear the extra power is there for cam, interested to hear about the fuel ec and if any pinging occurs?

Thanks , the power increase is noticable by my seat of the pants dyno , I'm already seeing an improvement in the economy , and i'm not aware of any pinging it is accounted for in the tune, I'm thinking the tune coupled with use of the 100 cell cats, (they were an increase in performance and worth the money) as is this tuneeven without the economy improvement it would've been worth it for the grin factor,
regards cam
alexeiwoody wrote:That sounds fair enough. I actually had pretty good fuel economy after my second kido tune, except a recent pressure test revealed one of my cylinders may have been running too lean. As the maff scaling was always a bit off/lean on that tune and revisions...all because I had a road tune and no wideband O2 sensor like on a dyno. Now it's bye bye stock engine. So tread carefully guys, whilst the seat of your pants may feel good - dont play with fuel economy without a dyno and O2 sensors. My $2500 and 2 cents, for any engine type/size.
How much did you pay for the cats?
owen wrote:All you auto drivers spinning tyres on the kido tune must have complementary pizza cutters that come with the tune.
The only time I can really break traction is in S#, 22.8 psi boost and 250kw, full steering lock and clutch dump at 5000rpm.

That said... I did find 6 interesting tables in the TBSTi LGT ECU the other day, suddenly a TBSTi with just a 3 port picked up 200rpm more spool and also chirps in 1st gear.

Are you talking about H-Are's SH9 that you don't tune anymore?

SH30RB and chaotic2050 have that covered for 20 year old individuals selling secondhand/new parts. A business that reports BS like the above is supposedly a protected species or reporting should only be limited to 1 thread. Should the BS span multiple threads apparently the 1 thread policy of SH30RB comes into play. Will have to get Ric to add that to the forum rules.![]()
For those really interested in the truth, H-are was tuned by Matt, but the tuning was going nowhere after multiple revisions with both boost spikes and knock reported on logs. All sorted since he's moved to Torqued Performance and has more power up top.
Since Matt has all the answers lets see why is he now locking all his H6 tune revisions and only getting Bryce to install them. Making it difficult for anyone, including owners, to read. Hiding something?![]()
Funny also is the fact that I won't spin the wheels to demonstrate my cars power to fellow forum members is seen as can't do it. I call it being responsible at 3:20pm driving through an area with multiple school zones.
