In order of dry grip, fun and confidence.

Wet... All much the same except ku36 and fz201 are very sensitive to changes in temp. But if you're pushing 8/10ths in the wet you deserve what's coming anyway.

I have Hankook RS2 (superseded by the RS3) on my RX and I'm very happy with them. I wanted the Toyo T1Rs again but they are no longer made in a directional tyre.
The tread wear is 200 so they are not crazy soft but seem to be wearing a little faster than other tyres I have had with similar tread wear.

Handling in Dry: better than I can drive
Handling in Wet: very good
Noise: plenty (directional tread)
Value for Money: good (approx $220ea)




On the 30RB I have these....

Brand: Federal Formula FD2
Size: 215/45-18
Handling in Dry: brown undies
Handling in Wet: browner undies
Noise: quiet in a straight line, squeals around tight corners
Value for Money: Make me an offer on them..

Size: 225/35/18
Handling in Dry: Excellent
Handling in Wet: Excellent
Noise: Minimal road noise, high pitched road noise around 40-50km/h but nothing the radio cant drown out, whining stops if you go faster or slower than 50km/h (strange).
Value for Money: Steal, they were $193 each on Ebay by International Tyre Traders (int-tt) which if i remember are located in Australia so postage is fairly quick. You probably won't be able to find these at this price anymore, probably because they were left over stock or stock that needed to be cleared.

They have Rosso's 225/40/18 for a little bit more, and theyre a better tyre than Pzeros.

I bought a set of Pirelli Pzero Nero all season's(225/40/18) last week for 171 at tyre
Havent put them on yet but will tell you in a couple of weeks.

Handling in Dry: Very good - no surprises and have got me out of a couple of emergencies
Handling in Wet: Very good
Noise: Quieter and more comfortable than original Bridgestone RE050A's in city driving, marginally less comfortable at highway speeds.
Value for Money: Very good. Half the price of the Bridgestones and better wear. Bridgestones did 40K kms. P7s have now done that and have another 10K to 20K left in them.

Handling in Dry: excellent
Handling in Wet: excellent (have had them only squeal once around a tight bend and I was up it, didn't lose control at all could just feel it on the border)
Noise: excellent (more ticking of rocks in the wide tread
Value for Money: good value rrp $340/tyre plus fitting/balancing which is only around $15 a tyre anyhow (I scored a bargain as I have an associate members card for work and get awesome discounts, so I got these a lot cheaper than my quote here)
wear: have done 20,000 on them so far and have only just worn out the goodyear brand on the centre spine on them

have never lost control or even looked like it at any point, could not recommend these tyres enough. on stock suspension with untouched H6 3rb even slamming it into corners handles a breeze, would love to give these a workout on the track

Handling in Wet: Vague, dead feeling and thats just the steering! No as much feedback/feel as Yoko C Drives. Yokos more expensive though so I thought Id give these H437's a run.

Noise: Reasonably quiet
Value for Money: Excellent at $160 a piece (Canberra). Korean brand made in China.

Stupid squishy sidewalls feels like the car falls over when cornering.

You're probably right, on the SS I never had more that oem spring rates and they respond well to that. Never drove the evo. Im only listing shit I specifically drove on with a liberty.

Handling in dry: Unbelievably good. Made me realise there WAS a difference in tyre brands. Let's just say freeway on ramp is a big loop, and recommended speed is 60km/h, I've been around that loop at 80km/h with no veering whatsoever. In fact beat an M3 on the inside lane trying to get to the left lane.

Handling in Wet: Really good too, only had one very close shave, I'm certain the tyres and the EBD saved my ass... Coming off the freeway this time and it loops 90 degrees, I brake from 100km/h and shift down from 5th to 3rd, was going about 70km/h when I started turning, but because it was raining a bit and the oil on the road, my back end stepped out, counter steered, snapped the other way, counter steered again and came out of it. My lower body was definitely in my mouth..

Noise: The sound of my exhaust is too loud to hear the tyres..

Value for Money: Looking at various catalogues, they sell for around $180-210 per tyre which puts it on the expensive side, but I've had these on my car since I bought the car (89,000kms), I have now travelled 133,000 and there's still plenty of meat on them. Hence why I can't upgrade my wheels and tyres just yet!!

And I feel the Kookers are as good as the RE050A's that I replaced them with.
On both advice from on here and my usual mechanic who uses them on his fleet customers' vehicles.
