Long Time Coming

Postby flySTi » Sun Dec 30, 2012 8:01 pm

Hi Folks,
It's been a dream of mine to own a GT after riding in a friends 08 when he bought it new some time ago. I haven't been in the position to swap out the car I had and move up to a Liberty until recently when I managed to put forward a good business case to the "Minister of Finance". Unfortunately while out car searching with the "Minister"things went off on a tangent, I came home with her car and she came home with and new XV. (wtf). After doing all the research, test driving and convincing I wasn't ready to give up so I put forward another business case and manged to get a second capex approved and eventually found a GT-B that couldn't be overlooked.
So here it is.
Specs are as follows,
07 Wagon
GT Spec B
1 x Lady owner
Full Subaru service history
New Falken Tyres

That's it. Not really mind blowing but I'm so happy!
I will be trolling the forums for the best bang for buck mods and in the short term, happy to be the designated driver.
Enjoy!
Darren.

I just realised I bought a funeral car. I could moonlight as a mortician with a 30 mins or less policy. I might put an STi shift knob and badge on the tailgate. That will give it some attitude.
Thanks for the welcome.

Got some STI wheels today to keep the enthusiasm fresh. It's going to be a long and slow build but the engines next.

What surprised and shocked me was the weight of the oem spec b wheels. They are boat anchors. Totally ridiculous. At least these will allow some nice pink lowering springs and Brembos. So much to do!
