Thanks guys, really appreciate it :)

Personally, I don't mind the SpecB wheels. Some some angles the offset and flatness of them are terrible lol, but I think they're quite a classy looking wheel. Not 'racecar' enough for me though, I'd love a set of thinner spoked ones which stick out a little more.
I've been close to buying a few sets lately but they were both sold before I got to them! But I have to hold off on wheels for a while now, due to this and that. The thoughts will still be lingering in the back of my head though.

The Spec.B rims are actually a really nice rim for a business class sports car. They get a lot of unwarranted hate from people (cough CRUISN cough) but they are a fantastic rim for a car like mine. It suits the sleeper/businessman sports car look perfectly.
Admittedly they look a bit ordinary once they get dirty due to offset / profile and of course the whole pearlescent coating diminishing when dirty , but when clean and in perfect nick these rims are fan-fucking-tastic.

Agree with you 110% Kieran. They're pretty subtle, definitely not an eyesore.

Plastidipped my wheels and took some photos.

Look, a lowered car can go off-road!

Looking for a set of front coilovers if anybody has a pair. If not, I guess I'll have to go all out on a full set.

Backing the plasti dipped wheels, works with the dark tint.

Thanks guys :)
As much as I loved the plastidip and it's easy application and all, I've already pulled it off  I've decided to do a full strip and a proper paintjob on the wheels, for three reasons.
1) I want a high gloss black; IMO the satin/matt black just looks dirty, especially since that rubbery texture of plastidip seems to attract dirt.
2) Get rid of the gutter rash around the edge of a few wheels
3) I only did a half assed job with the plastidip due to lack of resources...I used two black cans and one clear, so basically bare minimum to cover the 18" wheels. I just did a 1700 km trip through mixed weather conditions from Canberra to Bundaberg and the plastidip had started to peel (about 2mm) between the rim and rubber, particularly around the gutter rashed parts.
Already smoothed out the gutter rashes and prepped the surface of the rims ready for painting tomorrow. Hopefully should have pics by tomorrow night :)

Love the rims go team silver!

Definitely worth taking the time to doing a DIY spray with some auto paint. It just takes a lot of time prepping the surface between all those coats of primer, base coat and clear coat. Took me a long weekend to do mine as I only did 2 at a time.

Otherwise powdercoating isn't too much more expensive than a DIY spray job after I coated all my materials used.

Definitely 100% improvement doing a proper paintjob over plastidipping.
I've had the car on stands for almost three days now. Been having bad luck the last few days, started raining on a freshly painted wheel, dropped one wheel on it's face, dodgy splattering from the aerosol can primer, bubbles in the clear coat of one rim, and hours of frustration. Anyway, got over those, had to redo a few steps here and there and I'm finally almost done. Stripped the wheels, primed, 2x coats of gloss midnight black, 3x clear coats, 1x polish, 1x high gloss sealant and a fluoro orange pinstripe to finish it off. Might not be to everybodys tastes but I'm pretty happy with the end result :) Should be fitting them tomorrow and I'm expecting my Dixcel Type-M pads arriving tomorrow too!

Sneak peak of the wheels....the dog giving me the nod of approval.
