Hey, with my bad luck the car is pretty much brand new. Not much more could go wrong really.

You're now going to the at fault in a harmless t bone, but there is going to be some loop hole in the system that your insurance company wont cover you and will write your car off...

Just sayin' :P

Kody will see all these things we are predicting and become paranoid and not drive his car, its during this time that a massive hail storm comes, and a 20 inch wide thing of hail smashes strait on Kody's roof, shattering his windscreen and writing the car off.

To which the insurance company wont believe him when he says its 20 inches wide because they have never heard of hail being that big before so they dont cover him and simply write his car off, yet again.

:P we are just playing with you Kody, hopefully your bad luck with the car stops soon

Haha I don't mind. You have to laugh otherwise you'll cry. If it has wheels or titts it will cost money :D

I'm having a hard time deliberating whether to make the move to a H6 because I don't want to have the same problems with another car.
At the same time though, I would love a H6 and they are in my price range...

Go for it. But, at the same time, cancel your existing insurance and go with another company, even if it means paying a little extra.
That way you wont be using the same mechanics/repair shops if the worst case scenario happens again.
Plus, you'll love the extra power ;)

To be honest though, apart from the mechanics missing a problem and losing my keys, RACQ and the panel beaters were brilliant.
Even the mechanics were pretty good, it was an apprentice who lost my keys and they were all set to cut a new key from my spare set. Plus, they argued for me when RACQ said the CV seal wasn't from the accident (which it obviously was) I just think it comes down to him having a few people at his shop who need to kick it up a gear. The owner handled everything brilliantly, I have to give him that.

I will love the extra power that is for sure. And (considering I'm getting 10.5km/L in my 2.5) a tuned H6 will get similar figures won't it?

When i was living south of Melbourne last year, I was doing 2 - 3 trips into town and back every week, I averaged 10.4L - 100km which is a little more than what you are getting (i think)
But yes, a tuned H6 should get around the 9L - 100km mark, maybe lower. it also depends on how you drive the car too.
My car is still untuned at the moment

ATM I'm getting 8.6L per 100.
Probably about 75% highway sitting on 120ks and still driving the car fairly hard.

Exactly what mine would get too. Sometimes it'd average as low as 8.2 on highways.

Kody, make sure you get a car with low K's, something thats been looked after and you won't have any issues at all!
The build quality of Subi's are high- just be patient, find something nice and you won't have any problems

Can't complain about that fuel economy, some of you guys are getting better economy than me haha.

I will probably return it to stock over Easter and chuck it on carsales and see how it goes. I am so indecisive at the moment. Can't decide what I want to do :/

Unfortunately a certain push bike has left me with some debt (it was worth it :D) so that will have to e paid off before the new car.

This is pretty much exactly the same position I'm in. Except for a bike it is a camera.
I've decided just to put up with my car for the time being and just save.
Apparently i've never been on live television before
