Like I said- I appreciate your advice, but when it comes to my education, I think I'll roll with architecture, not a trade.

Thanks anyway

You missed the whole point.......

In the end you said I was a filthy rich snob. Im a tradie with an eye and means to snag bargains.... People dont like it when Im not wide eyed and full of adulation at their Chinese knock off wheels.

peadya100 wrote:My 2 cents worth. Yes uni degrees set you back financially initially... and as a graduate your friends with trades will still be earing more. But given time the people with degrees generally out earn people without. Excluding teachers, nurses etc. Although they should be mmuch better paid in my opinion (thats a whole new story). Tradies dont earn fantastic money unless they work for themselves or work a lot of overtime and they cant all be sole traders. I have friends in trades that match degree holders wages, but they work 60-80 hour weeks to achieve it.

Sooo. Whats "fantastic" money in your eyes for a 35 hour week and no responsibilities, ie work you have to take home with you?

Sorry mark, wadnt trying to attack tradies at all. Its a great way to go.. im a tradie myself.. sort of.
I was just referring to someones previous comment about people with degrees not earning as much as people without.
Most tradies earn above the national average, I just meant theyre not going to out earn a doctor, engineer or solicitor etc.

Mate I like em!!! If you like them then that is ALL that matters as its your car.

I'm going with a specific look that I have ALWAYS liked with my car and when my wheels grace my car I will be very happy with them as its the look I want.

I can't justify spending $3800-$4500 + tyres for a set of rims ( that I love mind you ) that will be daily driven on shit Sydney workmen pot hole filled roads. !!

And with uni etc...... Do what you want to do!! I'm currently looking into a bachelor of science in muscular skeletal therapy !!! BIG money, but its where I want to be in 3-5 years time.... Oh and by the way I'm 32years old and want to study. So each to there own.

I think Marks (cruisn) comments where taken out of context or taken the wrong way. Mark is just awesome at finding bargains!!!

My 3.7 cents!!

Dan

$100 says Mark was drunk last night, hence the arguments.

Just want to say I don't want my comments taken the wrong way, I was sticking up for mark who had been personally attacked.

I think the way society is these days, there is a need for just about every profession, and how you get there is not important. I was just on a bit of a high-horse.

You seem like a nice guy jay and if we ever meet I don't want it to be a knife fight so thought I would apologise for my comments last night.

No offense taken Jake.
Last night was ridiculous, the subject went from wheels to questioning my education!
Not to worry, we should avoid that topic entirely.
