Does that equate to about 14.7L per 100ks??

Yeh about that. Factory tune with dump and mufflers was better at about 12-13L/100kms around town.

I really dont see how it can be hard to tune a car with a dump and mufflers without issue.

Car is back to stock tune, refund issued and i'll be looking elsewhere to get it tuned.

Last tune tried was claimed to have excellent fuel economy benefits, but at 6.8kms/l around town with sedate driving, (early Gen4 trip computer) I'd say far from. :(

..... Or leave it with the stock tune! :D less headaches! Look ahead to the VF!

My tune now has no knock, IAM of 1, no corrections, good MAF scaling, good fuel economy and a great drive. I'm very happy with the tune, especially the per gear wastegate duty cycles, kudos to Matt on getting it spot on.

Well, I would say you have been a lot more fortunate than others. I seem to remember Kido Tuning advertising that customers wouldn't have to pay if they weren't happy with their tune, and he would flash back the tune they previously had?

Have any other disgruntled customers asked for refunds? $400 could certainly go a long way whilst looking for a new tuner...

There's a big difference between the tune carried out on Ain's car compared to others.

Firstly, Ain travelled to Sunbury on 3 occasions to see Bryce where a wideband O2 sensor was hooked into the tailpipe to check and correct the AFR's. This in turn set the MAF scale really well, thus making fueling and other related parameters much easier to set accurately. The car was then logged under Bryce's supervision to ensure data provided was accurate and as required.

Next, Ain is running the factory BOV from memory. This is known to leak from factory at approximately 16.5psi as a fail safe to avoid boost spike issues. Ain doesn't run a boost gauge to check for spikes too so in unaware if his boost is managed accurately or target boost is being reached.

I have checked Ain's car occasionally and it's all good. There have been revisions that saw the tune go backwards but the last 2 checks show no FLKC, IAM at 1.0 and a quick check of his AVCS saw a variance of 1.

And finally, Ain's tune was carried out at a discounted rate with the deal being he was to offer feedback if he was happy with the result. There was a much greater motivation for Matt to nail the tune to gain the favourable comment and promotion of his services and further business. I guess it was smart marketing and produced the required result for both Bryce and Matt.

Unfortunately, a lot of the other tunes that followed, were done without wideband hookup, Bryce's supervision whilst log data was gathered and timely correspondence to get the tune finalised quickly. Matt became too popular and busy and it showed in delayed contact, tunes left incomplete, and mistakes in revisions.

I haven't done any logging or anything (yet) but I have been getting really good economy on Matt's tune, normally around the 10L/100 mark with mixed driving. Averaged around 8 on 100% highway driving.

As you said, the tune was spot on perfect on the first tune with the DP... hence why you wanted it reloaded by Sharpie after the Y Pipe came off. We have had issues since then with your comment being the original tune that was first loaded does not feel the same, I checked the tune 3 times, it is identical as I backed it up before fitting the Y pipe and is same as the one I had on my server after inital tune. The code P0607 pops up a lot on tuned and even factory tune cars but having sent the ROM to T-D/Oren on RomRaider, I wanted to know what logic set off the code. Hence why the issue as far as I was aware with other clients was sorted... however, we have not been able to find a time/date to meet in person to load in the new tune, so it could be possible it is corrupt at the recipient end...
The refund was issued, despite you being extremely happy with the original tune.

I have tuned(and retuned previously tuned 2.0 LGT's) quite a lot of DP, catback, full exhaust and even DP + Y cars. I actually had to 'create' the issue locally by drastically altering the owners tune(and car) to replicate the issue.

I also found the limp mode tables today, which means the guys with factory tunes getting this code can atleast have the RPM limiter, throttle limiter and speed limiter lifted to 'road safe specs' if requested.

I tuned your ECU with a VF34 on Friday morning in Newcastle, not an issue and gets 13 to 15Km/L's around Newcastle roads

A. Ain's tune was actually discounted to sort out any issues with the remote wideband setup. I already had tuned a few members prior though... lots of members do not even post ;) Ain as RTR said, had an almost metronome AFR curve... something that Alexei's and Chaotics intial tunes also had.
B. Factory BOV leaking? They leak when the inlet vacuum on the pipe to the turbo is so large, the piston opens. Had factory BOV's hold 20psi. Already have logs from Ain's car which shows it holding boost nicely as it should. mynameisdaniel has the same
C. You claimed the US guys were having problems with my 5EAT tunes, which is absolute BS since you have ignored any corroboration... because it does not exist. I already know a few dyno tuned car in NSW with slipping transmissions.
D.You claimed my AVCS tables were to blame for the AVCS cam gears being off... yet you know it is not the case ;) I retuned another 07 on the weekend from your current tuner, it had the AVCS issue as well :)
E. Yes, I am busy... internationally and locally. The response delay has been my recovery time after 6 lots of surgery in 9 months and I have nearly completely cut back new remote tune clients accordingly.

avcs issues still may be the tune, not all tuners think like yourself and coyote.A few tuners think its the tuning of the avcs! whos right then?
