Lets talk tuning (KiDo Tunes)

other tuners have seen it too and say otherwise so who do you trust?

should people tune high km cars with an expensive fix like this? should you check and advise them of these issues with avcst before taking there money? and tuning

I am just going to leave this here

I think this discussion is becoming very unhelpful. Yes an answer and solution would be good. As far as I know I don't have this issue, whether I get it or not in the future well I will deal with it then. I agree that his tune has not worked for everybody and hey it may not for me in the future but again this is something that I will deal with and probably speak to Matt about in the future if the issue ever arises for me. I didn't want to post on this matter but I really am getting sick of it. No disrespect to anyone but I feel that all this pushing back onto Matt is getting silly, yes some seems to be justified but really there is no product or service that honestly gets 100% satisfaction rate (happy to be proven wrong). By all means say what you need to but to keep pushing is not helping in this instance.

GB to be fair - when did we all hear about these cam gear issues? If it wasn't until after Matt started tuning these cars then you can't really blame him for not mentioning it as he wouldn't have known

07 FXT with 280,000km's on it, tuned at 127,000Km's. Never had an issue and we just logged it last week

Most road tuning logging profiles log one AVCS cam(the left) as it means we can log more prameters and maximise the baud rate.

Yes, I found it but as seen by Coyote, it is not a rare event...

G'day,

I've recently bought a stock standard 07 Liberty GT-B Auto Wagon and am keen to have it tuned. I was inclined to wait until after the major timing belt service, however after reading through the last few pages logging the AVCS and other data may prove worth while in case something needs to be addressed during the service and will at least provide some additional data for comparison.

I've flicked off an email with a rambling list of questions to sales @ kido... from the 1st post of this thread and will look forward to finding out what tuning options are available. In the mean time it looks like there is plenty of reading to do around these forums.

Unfortunately, no love on the tune side of things.....

I really dont see how it can be hard to tune a car with a dump and mufflers without issue.

Car is back to stock tune, refund issued and i'll be looking elsewhere to get it tuned.

Last tune tried was claimed to have excellent fuel economy benefits, but at 6.8kms/l around town with sedate driving, (early Gen4 trip computer) I'd say far from. :(

Pity to hear that Mark.

Does that equate to about 14.7L per 100ks??
