Not as painful as High beams, and match pretty nicely.

Awesome. I didn't know Phillips made a 5000K replacement bulb. Should have a set of these arriving next week then ;)

Newbie GT wrote:Hey mate nice job. Is the back bumper and rear door on last picture different colors?

Thanks Newbie, I'm pretty sure it's just the reflection of the different angled panels on the metallic paint. In person, it matches up!

Actually it's because the front and rear bar are made of plastic (or whatever) and the panels reflect light differently due to the way paint adheres to their surface.

Thanks Jay, that's quite a big call there haha! It's slowly getting to how I really want it, one small mod at a time :)

Ahh right, that makes sense. Cheers!

So here's the latest photo of the front of the car. I think I'm quite content with it now.
If I really wanted to go one step further, I'd black out the headlights and install halos in there......but I'm too chicken to open up the headlights

That'd be awesome, but pity I won't be coming down south any time soon! I'll get them done one day...later rather than sooner though.
Ideally, if I could find another set of headlights so I could work on them without being rushed or risk my main set being damaged, I'd give it a crack.

Thanks Cam, I'm surprised I haven't seen yours either! I'm in the Campbell area but get around to most areas every now and then. I'll be looking out for your car :)

Cheers Reuben. With the current weather, it's almost doing the cleaning job for you ;)
Yeah I'd probably be interested in them down the track, but I still have to do a bit of research on them re: CCFL vs. LED vs any other variations. What diameter are they? And do you know the colour temp?

Delivery today. Another thing to cross off my planned mods list :) pretty full on these days so installation wont be until this weekend or the weekend afterwards...

Also, if you have a pair of HD mounts that you no longer need, let me know ;)

EDIT: And it's been almost a fortnight since my retune from Matt.
I was quite amazed at how his little tweaks in the tune have changed the cars performance so much compared to my last tune from him, even though I've done no other engine performance mods since. First, second and third gear pulls hard, far beyond what I expected from a VF46. The new tune has now made me push back the idea of a bigger turbo.....for now. Economy has definitely improved too. I averaged high 8's travelling from Canberra to Batemans Bay which I was impressed with since it's all mountainous country (and I easily beat my mates commodore which averaged 10.2 :P). With my old tune, my recent trip from Bundy to Canberra (via Pacific Hwy), I averaged 8.4L/100kms with the car fully loaded. Quite interested to see how it does on the highway with the new tune. All I can say is that I'm very happy with the current performance of the car, and a big thanks to Matt for his time and efforts :)

Awesome ride Nathan. Pretty envious about the rear sway you just got too. Let us know how you go with it.

Sorry I didn't see this before.

There are these ones http://retro-solutions.net/product-info ... id550.html
95mm outside diameter.

I believe the same as Brian's ones - viewtopic.php?f=10&t=14523&start=15#p223552
He also discusses sizes further down the page.
